Thank for you this! I have a client using DocumentDB to host their MongoDB and they are running into issues so I’m looking at whether Atlas will be better and this video was helpful
Hi, LeEagle, What kind of issue they encountered, My client wants to use DocumentDB too, because it's cheaper than MongoDBAtlas, and I am investigating for him.
Thank you so much Suraj, please help me understand your requirement. Estimating and costing of what. I mean, is there any specific requirement i.e. are you looking for costing and estimates on Atlas or any cloud provider like (AWS, Google, Azure) or what is the dataset size etc. costing and estimating will depend on lot of factors. Kindly help me understand. Once I've clarity, will definitely record a video on the same. Happy learning !!
@@NeerajGarg Yes sir specifically I want to know all about AWS Price calculator. How can we calculate estimate for a Project. Like for AWS VPC, EC2 Instances, S3 Bucket, Databases, Application Load balancer, Auto scaling, SSL certificates etc.
I would recommend either Atlas or EC2. The final decision between these two would depend on the type of service and expertise a team possesses. If there is an MongoDB expert available in the team, it can be EC2 also. Else Atlas provides the capabilities to have managed MongoDB over AWS. Hope, this helps. Please let me know your thoughts.
My apology for delayed response. I'm going to record a video on sharding and it will be published by next week. You may ask your queries in this thread. I will try my best to answer in a day or so after you post it.
Hello Pooja, I've recorded first video on MongoDB sharding in MongoDB sharding video series. Please see if you would like to watch it and share your feedback th-cam.com/video/zGF_7kQBLq4/w-d-xo.html
@Nitin This is a good question and appreciate that. So far, I haven't gotten an opportunity to explore scalegrid. Having said this, I can explore this and suggest. Please give me sometime. Will try to revert as soon as possible. One question: Are you looking for comparison of these for only MongoDB or any other DB. Because I can see that scalegrid provides options for hosting other DBs including RDBMS as well.
@@NeerajGarg I am looking for only for MongoDB. And you should make video on this also. I can share you some difference those I figured out and then I opted Scalegrid.

Many congratulations on your first client. Best wishes for successful delivery. The product deployment and selection of plan will depend on a lot of factors like the expected workload (number of users, what time, how many requests per second/ per day etc. to name a few) on the DB. You can connect me on LinkedIn and we can have more detailed discussion over a call, if required. This platform may not be appropriate for you to share all such information. Hope, this helps.
HelloI Neeraj , i have a question ,For example, when I pay the bill this month, let me say that I use 10 GB, and for the next month I have not consumed anything. Will I also pay the amount again? What I mean is that I will query about this data, but I will not add anything. Will I pay every month for this? I hope you get me
