Although the limb holding system may work just fine and be reliable, it looks very weak. It looks like it's lacking robust & reliable holding material.
Hi Sean, thanks for the review. Quick question... Got my fanatic 3.0 and there is a very annoying rattling sound on every shot. The rattling sound cleary comes from the flx-guard (bearings). Do u noticed that on your bow as well? Any advice how to get rid of that very, very annoying rattle on every shot. That drives me crazy :)
TheTenth Hi! Yes, we see it every now and again, and it never seems to be exactly the same. I think it's resonance that occurs at a certain draw length and poundage combination. I think this is the case because changing FLX shafts or bearing sets had no effect. My Fanatic 1 had it where it was the actual cables buzzing against each other in the cross. Changing my let-off made it disappear (quite by accident!) my f2.0 had it on the bearings as you described and I got round that by moving the rubber dampener as close to the bearings as possible. When I changed my draw length with a different weight setup, it also disappeared. I hope that helps a bit?
Thanks so much for the quick reply and the advice. My setup is 50 pounds on a 30 inch draw length with the factory shipped 80% let-off module. I think I'll try to change my draw length a bit... that would make sense in my case, cause I noticed that 30 inch is a bit to short for me. Hope that will fix the problem. Again, thanks for your help. I will test some settings with the draw length, the let-off and maybe the draw weight. Hope that works... All the best.
nice... what about string angle? is it better in compare to fanatic 1.0 or specialist? i am shooting specialist at 29" and its good, but little bit more of angle and it would be perfect:)
No Sorry, I think you are out of luck there. The axle-to-axle on the Specialist was 1/4" shorter than the new Fanatic3.0. You do have some options there, though. The SD version has a much smaller cam than the XL version, which will make a slight change to the string angle. At 29" Draw, you can shoot either... But neither will give you a more acute angle than the specialist (the ATA as well as the fact that the specialist limbs moved quite a bit more out of position than the fanatics do.
thanks... the bow on the video was a xl version guess... I am thinking about ordering sd version. did you made any speed comparison between 2.0 and 3.0?
Sorry Peter, no, not yet. All things being equal, I would think that the SD version on 29" draw would be faster than the XL version on 29" (smaller cams, less inertial weight) - I might be wrong, but thats what we saw on the Bowtech BTX
Well done Sean! Great review as always
Thank you... I hope there was something useful there ;)
Hi nice videos was just wondering if u would be able to do a shooting review on the 3.0 thanks Sean
It has been a little over a year since this video came out, what is your 2018 view of this bow? I'm thinking of buying one, thanks.
