Another great video! I was born and brought up in Jersey and spent a lot of time in Sark ❤ You also caught more fish in one sitting than I managed in about 20 goes 💪🎣
Thanks for watching! Ah what a place to grow up - we loved the short time we had there. I think we got lucky! Checked Navionics for any structure, found a wreck off coast of Sark. Another boat turned up from Jersey and asked us if we were locals 🤣
Great episode. Just watched all your video's and im really impressed with what you both are achieving. Clearly this is a long way behind real time i hope you're going to continue to make these video's as the content is great. Amazing home made self steering system , never heard of it. Thanks.
Hi Graham thanks so much for watching our episodes and commenting. Huge thanks also for joining the Patreon, you are our first! That means alot - we appreciate it!
Great stuff. Crazy tidal mayhem. Advertising kicking in. No fun for me with fingers covered in BBQ chicken, lol, but great for you.Or should I say "Super awesome" .😂 👍
Aye it was nuts! Yup sorry for the ads, need to cover the cost of running the channel somehow, software isn't free. Were there too many this episode?? Yehoo to Bbq season 😎😎
Good stuff! Amazing tides. Interesting seeing the Hebridean windvane in operation, I've never seen one before. If you haven't already done so, might be worth experimenting and trying to take out the slack in the control lines ...
Very impressive, not much we could have done once we were in the race - minimal steerage at that speed! The Hebridean is amazing, have a look at the link in the description. We have since done quite a bit of work tweaking the control lines, taking out some slack as yous suggest 👍🏼 Cheers!
@@sailingmaalie Since seeing yours in your vids I've done a bit of research on them and they look like a really good proposition (I bought a Pacific Windpilot years ago before the Hebridean was available). I see a lot of the guys who do the Jester Challenge use them. John Fleming who designed it knew what he was doing so they definitely should work well!
It was a great challenge to build, we definitely took our time with it. Very rewarding though setting it all up. Yes alot of Jester boats use them as it's an affordable alternative to the more popular brands :) Cheers
Hi Mike! Thanks for commenting again 👍🏼 Yes, I'm a good bit behind on the videos coming out but the adventure continues! Sent from a Canadian anchorage 😁
@MikeSantis What a beautiful part of the world - we loved it. Also planned to go further north than Bud but couldn't resist all the fjords along the way.. 😁
Wow! Are you an experienced angler or what? Four fish in what time? Is that the reason you went out in the dinghy rather than just fishing off the back of the boat? This is something I want to do when I finish my catamaran. Great video BTW
Haha I have caught a few fish in my time, but every day is a school day! Yes I spotted some fishy looking ground about a mile away from the anchorage so we took the dinghy for a blast and it turned up some fish 😎 Good luck with the catamaran build/refit - see you out there sometime 🌊🐟
Loving the videos thank you. Very jealous. How about a boat tour? Fair winds and smooth seas
.😂
Thanks for watching Yolanda, yes a boat tour video is in the works 😁
Dreamy!!
There's a bunk on Maalie waiting for ya! 🏔⛵️

Merci! Nous vous avons repondu 😁
another great video, thanks
Glad you are enjoying the series 😁⛵️
Ah, j'ai parlé trop vite... Le regulateur d'allure fonctionne!...
Tidal waves at their best!! Super nice tour of Serq (en français 😉)
🌶🌶🌶
Outside Roscoff made waves I never seen before.. I will never sail there again😱
@@Sailorboynumberone yes it can be a wild place!! But it's so pretty, try with very low tidal coefficient, you can do it!!

Thanks for sharing your adventures. I guess your videos are a few months behind from real time?

@@sailingmaalie Sounds amazing. I have just returned from my Norwegian adventure and began producing the videos from that trip. Enjoy!

@@sailingmaalie Stavanger and into the Lysefjord. No time to go further up north unfortunately fo now. Next time. Uploading part two today.
