I got stuck watching one of these here at the University of South Carolina for about 5 minutes. Fascinating design, just keep it in a sealed case.

Clock like the one in the movie "Intersection" with Richard Gere. I like the one in the move the best!! Beautiful clocks!

I went to the observatory specifically in search of the H2. Alas, they were putting together a new exhibit so it wasn't available to the public. I was sorely saddened. The Harrison story is one of my favorites. It will be an SED the next time I can make it to London for sure. Thank you for the suggestion. By using the word "whilst" I assume you're from the UK?

Cool ! I was in Greenwich this afternoon, telling a son of my firend all about pendulums, the naval influence on the development of timekeeping for navigational purposes etc. Would love to show you around if youre back in London: The observatory is a nerds delight ! lol esp. for people like us with a love of physics ! ty for the videos. Wonderful !

Awesome! Two things... 1. I would think dust wouldn't be a big issue in the enclosed case (but metal "dust" would probably still be a problem) 2. I wonder how much faster it would run if the clock were in a vacuum.

Is it the same Congreve that invented Congreve rockets. The Royal Navy had more or less success with these whiz bangs about 1800, methinks. Great stuff on your channel Destin, keep it coming.

Is there a spring or weight you have to wind everyday?

+jbrun009 Of course. There is no such thing as perpetual motion, so it must get energy from somewhere.
