I notice on my phone the icons/buttons/whatever you call them are a little different but that's probably because Instagram has updated the application or because I'm using a Android phone. The one thing I couldn't find is where my pictures are saved when I save them. But, I understood everything else so THANKS for posting the directions!!!! :)

Also, can you add to an exiting story? Can you place that addition ANYWHERE within the timeline, or is only option to post at the end of time?

1. yes, expires 24 hours from the moment you post the picture 2, yes as long as is in your camera roll and made or saved or edited in the last 24 hours 3. you have to do everytime 4. you can type other people's account and when tapped will take you there but to have the link on the bottom for people to swipe up, you have to have over 10k followers Hope this helps xx

Thanks so much, that's a great video! Sorry if this has been asked... my story videos are blurry after they upload from camera roll. Any ideas? I've tried filming in both portrait and landscape and they both end up blurry. They look fine in the Story preview but then turn out blurry after being uploaded. I'm miffed 🤷🏼♀️

Are only photos shot for the story shareable? I am not certain if there may have been a step I missed.
You're very welcome. You can't share a clip directly from your Story, but you can save the clip to a normal Instagram post on your timeline, and then share from there. Make sense?

I believe that I did save "the story"/video clip, but it doesn't show up in my timeline, I do see it in the upper left hand corner of the phone and I do locate it in my Photo Gallery, so I just clicked the video and the three (More) dots (upper right hand side of phone and yes, from there it will allow me to share it to Instagram. A bit more roundabout than I would like, hopefully they will be able to find a way of adding to one's timeline directly. Thank you again for your reply.
Is there somewhere to store pics and videos until you're ready to link them all up together into one whole story? Because, if you do them individually (like one an hour etc), aren't there "incomplete" stories for people to see? What if you want to load them all up together in one hit? That's where my confusion lies …
I am having same problem. I can't figure out how to 'build' a story using multiple images. It only seems to allow me to post one image, but I see many other stories with multiple images. And in the past, I USED to be able to do this...but I think something has either changed, or else I forget the process (which is clearly not very intuitive!)
My question is what about the viewers? Sometimes some people stay at the top of the list while other get added on. Are the people at the top the people that have watched your story the most times?
what if i follow someone who's story i'm not interested in? is it possible to choose who's story you want to see? also, what if you don't want to see any stories? can you somehow remove that top stories bar from your profile? thanks for your videos :)
