No, more like these casinos lost tons of people during the pandemic, and the never came back because they found jobs with higher wages and better benefits. Thus the casinos do not have enough employees to clean properly, some casinos only clean the rooms once every three days, restrooms are left soiled, food and used condoms are left on and under beds, etc,. Until the casino owners shell out more money to keep employees and bring more in, the sanitary conditions will only get WORSE.

Jacob, that's just a brutal place. You can always count on Caesars to run a property down and not be clean. The Rio comes to mind. The prices on everything seemed crazy with nothing to back it up. In other words, if I'm going to get fleeced I want a great hotel experience. The 6/5 blackjack sucks. I would never consider staying there and this presentation reinforces that. Nice work!

I was in Planet Hollywood this past weekend. I had used the tub. I went to drain the tub and heard “gurgling” in both sinks and toilet. Within seconds, water, filthy smelly water gushed out of all sinks and toilet. The smell and filth was ungodly. I called the hotel operator and it took maintenance 6 hours to clean the room. Upon checkout, I was charged a $299.99 cleaning fee. I called my casino “host” and had to debate it with him and the on duty manager. Diamond Plus. Caesar’s is rotten. No more gambling at Caesar’s.

So what if they are sold out---I'm a hotelier ----- They should have moved you into a clean room inspected by at least 2 managers and then, deep cleaned the room you were in for a guest arriving later that evening. In addition, provide points and options for your inconvenience. Terrible and they knew better. We will wonder in 5 years why most of our jobs have been replaced by robotics electronics and Kiosks....its coming. Im sorry for that experience Jacob

Here's an experience for you! Back in the day, the early 80's, Hilton hotel had a deal for $39 pp, 3 days, two nights, complimentary steak dinner or Benihana restaurant, (great food, not cut rate) and a free show! What a deal, we took advantage of this 3 separate trips. On the last trip, my wife is playing blackjack, and this guy starts groping her right in front of the dealer. She complains to hotel management, and we are told the guy is mobbed up, and we'd be better to move hotels. Being the conservative I am, I was armed, but I'm not risking my wife's life, or my well being so we moved hotels. What an experience!👍👍😎🗽✌
P.S. Another less hectic experience happened at the Luxor. This is more of a warning than anything else, and it may not be the same now, 30 odd years later. We booked a room requesting a frontage room facing the strip. We had done this before, and had no problems. This last time, we were placed in a corner room which was cool, but come night time, not so cool. They had a nightclub somewhere near our room on that right, front, corner, and all night you could here the boom, boom, boom! We asked to move rooms, but got the old were booked explanation. Be warned, check it out, ask if that stupid night club is still bouncing into the wee hours of the night.✌

Why are you in a casino with a firearm? Why is it that supposed smart gun owners always break the law?

    • @TOM-C.
      @TOM-C. ปีที่แล้ว

@@RogueStatusX My wife, and I had season tickets to Disneyland, and I was always armed there as well. I carried in my car, if I was outside the house, I was armed, for 30 years. The smart gun owners as you call us facetiously, are indeed very intelligent. Should I or someone around me need help that required using my gun, then I was there. I was in many situations, road rage, being in shady areas, watching others in incidents of violence, and I not once had a call to pull out my gun. Even when one guy threatened me with his gun, I did not oblige him as I knew he was just mad, and venting. Admittedly, some people shouldn't be carrying because they are not suited by temperament to carry, and are far more likely to have, or cause an incident with their gun. But, by, and large, most of us who carry are intelligent people who don't look for trouble, and when we are in trouble we're ready, but only as a last resort when our or someone else's life is in danger. Also, in a lot of States concealed carry is legal, my State of CA it is not, but it should be! People like us are ready to defend the innocent if need be, school shootings, robberies, fights, etc. Again, having been in situations where aggressive behavior was being perpetrated either on me or someone else, I was ready, but I never had cause to use my gun. Answer your question?😎✌🗽

The only property that Caesars corporate even makes a half assed attempt at being first class is Caesars Palace. Every other property is comparable to any hotel you'd find in Juarez, Mexico. Even more hilarious is that they don't give a F if you bring complaints to their attention. The Nevada Gaming commission should be ashamed that they let essentially 2 companies own almost the entire strip corridor.

Why would anyone be shocked at this? Quality and customer service has taken a nose-dive in every imaginable industry since the pandemic. Also, I guarantee you that cleaning staff is underpaid and overworked. They are part of the exploited underclass that has been part of this economy for decades. All that matters anymore is for those at the top to make as much profit as one can, and reputation and dignity and values...none of that has any bearing anymore. No one cares. Vegas is booming like never before. There's no incentive to improve. No impetus to treat customers better or any of that. And as long as we as consumers willingly take it, nothing is going to change. Simple as that.

The first being the fact that long before Harrah's was sold to Vici Properties ran by Caesar's Entertainment, it was a premier establishment(I preface Harrah's Lake Tahoe which was once a five star, five diamond property. Heck Harrah's Reno was also a well ran property, especially in the Housekeeping Department)! 100% agree with how your first impressions with the check in process can really shape your stay. My first trip to Vegas was July 2016 and I stayed at the Luxor. I wanted something cheap since it was my first time and I didn't have a ton of money. Holy crap.. I was in line to check in for 2 HOURS. And I'm disabled and walk with a cane. I was in absolute agony and was so tired that when I got to my room I just collapsed and went to bed. Absolutely horrible. I watched and the next day the check in was even longer!!
Thankfully since then I've stayed at Luxor, NYNY, Bally's(Horseshoe) and Excalibur and I've never had a crazy check in like that again. Even going back to Luxor 6 months later it was better. But I'll never forget the two hours in line to check in and how much pain I was in.. and how much I was thinking if that was how all of Vegas was going to be then perhaps it was a mistake to go. It definitely started my trip and my first trip ever, on the wrong side.

Jacob, I moved to Vegas in 2021 and enjoy watching you and the crew of Vegas TH-camrs. I have been coming to Vegas for all of my adult life, more than 30 years, and one of the things that astounds me is the lack of pride that people have in the jobs that they do, and how overworked and undervalued people are these days. It just really shows in hotels, restaurants and the service industry in general. I don't know how we work our way out of this dilemma. Thank you for not sugar coating the deficiencies. Channels like yours are part of the solution. They provide a glimpse into the shoddy conditions at these businesses, and when and if demand softens it will force companies to pay attention to the small details that are currently being ignored. $400+ for a two night stay in a place like this is criminal. I've patronized Bobby Flay's high end restaurants for years, but seeing what his brand is putting out, and the prices being charged, will keep me away. Keep on fighting the good fight!!

I realized the exact same thing about three months after moving to Las Vegas. Sadly this is the home of "work to" culture.
Everyone "works to" the minimum standard they have to in order to keep their poorly paying jobs. Employers have no incentive to promote or give raises and employees have no incentive to go above and beyond.
      Its a vicious cycle....

If resorts paid the staff and lower level management more, these resorts would be able to pick from a better talent pool and therefore have better service all around. Too bad that the owners/investors would rather make even more (short-term) millions instead of improving their business. It's like that with too many larger companies around the country/world.

Harrah's not the only one, but got caught by a TH-cam reviewer this time. Still suffering from labor shortage of COVID days, overworked underpaid staff, nickle and diming patrons to death, gamble not great, chaotic, well, everything, and it shows. Used to be a respectable place to stay, those days are over. Not sure the value of a Harrah's stay now except if someone just really needs a room. Can get better elsewhere. I wouldn't even say it's a good deal now. As the bill you would expect was shown by Jacob. It wouldn't surprise me if Caesars may sell Harrah's down the road, certainly investing the minimum.

Over the last 20 years, we've stayed at Harrah's Las Vegas and the now-closed Harrah's Reno. The rooms have always been subpar similar to their Awards program now. As a past Diamond member through three different ownerships, it's just become worse every time losing our VIP lounges and deteriorated accommodations. The bottom line is that Caesars Hotel in Las Vegas is awesome, and the rest of the properties are junk!!!

I hate to say it, but a room we had at Harrah's AC was pretty much identical. Someone threw a drink at the wall by the desk, they (poorly) wiped the wall above the desk and left everything that was out of first glance still on the wall under it. It's obvious based on where those stains are that people absolutely trashed that place. :(

Harrah’s is owned by El Dorado Resort Properties. They do not maintain the properties they own. If you ever stayed at Paris hotel, (same owner) that is far worse than Harrah’s. I personally checked into Paris a couple months ago, and checked out the same night. My room resembled a crack house. Sadly, all of Caesar’s properties are not maintained. I have spoken to two GM’s in LV who work at two different Caesar’s properties and they were very “full disclosure” about the issue at their hotels. Basically, if they are selling out and at full capacity every night, that’s all that matters to the owner. Caesar’s was bankrupt when El Dorado Resorts purchased all of the properties, and monies were over due to some pretty important people that had to be paid. This is from the horses mouth. They just don’t give the managers the budget to really care for the hotels they run. Unfortunately :-(( I have spoken to a couple managers directly about this problem. They fight to get budget monies for Renovations and basic maintenance, but it doesn’t happen. Has a top tier Caesar’s rewards member that has comps, I’m now staying at Aria, Mirage, & Venetian! Thanks for posting. 🙏

Hey! Love your videos and reviews. Used to clean houses with my grandma when younger and love the attention to detail. If you ever wanted a side hustle or to help out the hotels they may comp or pay for the advice or if you had time even instruction to their management on how to clean through a room effectively and efficiently. Used to be a manager and it's something that I know I would appreciate as having someone who can help train your staff doesn't just help the one unhappy guest, but will prevent more unhappy guests in the future so tremendous value if you're able to give your time to them for a proper walk through. Each hotel I know will be different but then again, more clients for you as well lol.

You're right that the only thing this place has going for it is the location, I've been doing vegas for like 15+ years multiple trips a year and stayed at harrahs maybe 3 times, never really had a good experience there. It's just always been meh. The only upside was that they would comp you rooms pretty easily. Another thing about Harrahs is it always seems to be PACKED, I'm not sure if it's just the lay out or its central location. The games have always had terrible odds as well, so I would spend a mininal amount of money playing slots for comps and move on to play my table games at another casino with better odds. I've come to the conclusion that pretty much all Caesars properties are very meh, they are the spirit airlines of the casino industry imo.

Vegas just isn't what it used to be sadly.
20 years ago, buffets were free if you gambled, or dirt cheap, with good food. Alcohol was cheap, and often handed out, not like today where if you want a free drink you have to wait 30 minutes at a single machine.
The hotels are very expensive now, and quality has decreased a ton.
Back in the day, they pretty much made it dirty cheap to stay and party there expecting people to gamble a bunch.
I guess since the strip had been brought out by big dogs, it's gotten to be super greedy, and the quality isn't there anymore.
    It's too bad.

Hi Jacob, long time listener, first time caller here. I just stayed at Harrah's recently during the week leading to memorial day weekend. Since it was a last minute thing, my hotel of choice was fully booked and my backup place only books 2 night stays or longer. Harrah's was my last minute solution. I booked through the Harrah's website and had no problems booking or finding my confirmation email. I arrived early and was not charged a fee for it, though I will say DO NOT waste your time checking in by yourself. All the guests that arrived at the same time I did all had issues with the self check in/out machines, so just get in line and from the get go. Trinity was also the lady who helped me check in and she is super sweet and very professional! I booked a standard room just like the one in the video but my experience was completely different to Jacob's. The bathroom was clean and well stocked, though the shampoo/ body wash dispenser was also leaking like in the video. The room I had was clean and everything was in its rightful place, so I'm not sure if they stuck you in whatever they had, because even the other room I booked for the person coming with me on the trip was clean, and this person is a snob when it comes to cleanliness. We even saw the lady that was cleaning the rooms the day we were checking out and she was cleaning very diligently. I'm definitely not trying to undermine your experience, I just want to offer another more recent experience at Harrah's. It was not my favorite hotel, but as a last minute stay, it was great.
