I have both headphones, the Sony 1000mx3 and the B&W PX.
SOUND:
However, I intend to say that B&W has a
more intense bass, and Sony has a more BOOOMMM bass! Did I make myself understand?
After listening a techno music at high volume,
the results in my head were different:
With the Sony 1000mx3 I kept my head vibrating.
With the B&W PX I got my head to echo inside!
The B&W PX bass comes in inside the head,
and the Sony 1000mx3 vibrates the outside of the head.
Different results for different tastes.
I prefer the Bass of the B&W PX, more real and penetrating, like a punch in the head.
Sony sounds a little artificial (comparing with the B&W PX)
In addition, the B&W PX volume is higher.
When it reaches the volume limit on the Sony 1000mx3, the B&W still has another 20% to add.
Without a doubt, the sound of the B&W PX is superior, more defined and more elegant.
I say this without any tendency, because I bought both.
Do not forget the following:
B&W is a company dedicated exclusively to sound, equipping high-end cars like Ferrari, BMW's etc.
Sony produces a wide variety of things, from mobile phones to microwaves. B&W is a lady of sound
quality, because she dedicates himself exclusively to this.
COMFORT:
With regard to comfort, the Sony 1000mx3 are more comfortable, nor giving almost by the presence of them in the head. 👍👍👍
However, while the B&W PXs are less comfortable, the ears stay free inside the earpiece, being cooler and not causing perspiration.
The Sony 1000mx3 ears do not have space inside the headphones, and make them perspire on hotter days.
Unsustainable in summer days, much less to walk down the street on sunny days. 👎
The quality of construction is top notch in the B&W PX. All in aluminum, and genuine leather. It costs € 400 in Europe but
pays for the elegance and quality of construction. 👍
The Sony 1000mx3 is all in plastic and synthetic skin. In Europe costs € 380, but it seems that we are buying plastic.👎
However the Sony are lighter and therefore more comfortable. 👍
NOISE CANCELLATION:
The Sony 1000mx3 has a perfect noise cancellation, it looks like you put your head inside a vacuum chamber. Perfect!

The B&W PX though reasonable in noise cancellation, but are far from the Sony 1000mx3.
Android/ Apple APPLICATION:
With respect to the Android application to control the headphones, the Sony is perfect, as well as the indicator sounds in your own language.
The B&W PX are just beeps. 👎👎👎
The B&W PX application only serves to control the level of noise reduction (which is best to keep it OFF), and to control the system to pause the music when you remove the B&W PX from your ears (which works at 80%). The app for B&W PX is terribly basic 👎👎👎
CONCLUSION?
Comparing these headphones to a women, I would say:
That the Sony are that kind of woman, very
devoted to home and children, but a little less beautiful and more chubby.
The B&W PX is that a elegant woman, very pretty, but untidy woman at home.
So, if you prefer the ugly and dedicated woman at home, you will always look at the beautiful woman.
If you prefer the elegant and beautiful woman, you go and wash your dishes at home. You choose. 😁😁😎
I prefer the B&W PX,
although I know it does not have all those features that would do it great.
I'm more of a fan of B&W PX's aesthetic and sound elegance.
If you choose B&W PX you will make a good choice, but sacrificing some aspects of the Sony 1000mx3 that would make music even more enjoyable.
If you buy Sony, you're just one more who bought a headset for €350.
If you buy B & W, whoever watches you knows that you like not just music but sound quality.
Some of the "business" websites that do the comparatives, seem to give 100% preference to Sony, but gave me the impression of sponsorship by Sony.

Because everyone knows Sony, and a lot of people have never heard of Bowers & Wilkins, only sound connoisseurs know it.
Thus, Sony is more mediated, and ends up having a control of public opinion, and obviously creates a subconscious tendency by Sony, even some of youtubers who make these comparatives

If you are young, and like techno, buy a Sony.
But if you are over 40 years old, and want to make up for the lack of youth with charm, buy B&W PX 😎👍 .

It's a difficult decision. Maybe B & W will release a new model in 2019, with all the missing attributes already inserted in Sony.
Because this PX model is already 2017 (if I'm not mistaken)

I have heard some people say that these give you hearing fatigue... can you please comment if you have experienced something like this? Also can you comment on how the ANC behaves while walking? 1. do they sound better than the h.ear on 2?
2. Can you compare the bass with h.ear 2?
3. I heard the sound quality suffers a lot when noise canceling is turned on all the way. Is that true?
1. In my opinion they sound better
2. PX bass is nice and controlled because of the design it delivers more sound to your ear whereas the Sony’s will leak more sound so you lose some of the bass.
3. Noise cancellation does affect the sound because it adds white noise but I could hardly tell the difference with these but then again the NC on these isn’t that great compared to Sony and Bose noise cancellation. Hope this helps!
On the office NC setting, the sound is virtually unaffected. Does add some bass though. As you increase the NC, the bass is more present. I find the NC is absolutely perfect.

What I love about these is how loud and how much sound these block out because of their closed back design with added noise cancellation. The volume is noticeably louder than the beats studio 3 Thanks for watching Isi!
Isi Akahome if you want some for the gym I would suggest the blue ant pump zone. They are pretty cheap at like 50 bucks, sound great, have good bass, and are very loud. They are also sweat proof unlike these, and most of the headphones that BT will suggest.. so u won’t ruin your new headphones

My monitor broke so I needed to be close to make sure focus was spot on.. that being said which look do you like better wide angle or further away? These look and sound amazing! I had to return them though once the sennheiser hd 660s came out because even though they sound good for what they are they still are not in the class of any real headphone and I already have the 4.50 nc bt by sennheiser which sounds good and has good noise cancelling for $150. But yeah $424 with tax I had buyers remorse. They are definitely beats killers in SQ and style IMO

Are you sure about the comfort , I’m looking at these and the momentum 2 , I’m pretty confused and also what’s the difference between the momentum 2 and the HD1
These beat out the momentum 2s and HD1s in sound quality for me. Comfort isn't the best for some people but they aren't horrible for comfort.
What do you think about the ath m70x and the dsr7bt my top priority is sound clarity and quality if you can pls listen to this song and tell me which one of all the px or momentum or the above mentioned is the best

Mm I'm surprised your not having sound leakage like most of us from the earcups. I love these besides the earcups and the power button. When I move my head from left to right you can hear the air coming in which is so annoying! Love these other wise they need to make replacement earcups....
Speedsk8r I don't have that problem and I even wear glasses. But as with all headphones, you’ll get a different experience from each and every person. It is true though that many people find the PX uncomfortable and some experience sound leakage... there’s no denying it. It would be a good idea if B&W produced earcups made of some other material. It would sell them more headphones, and it would justify the removable earcups.

Amazing review man. You’re hurting my wallet 😂. Now I’m dying to know, H.ear On 2, QC35 II, 1000X M2, Studio 3, and PX. Rank them in order from your favorite to least. I have the Studio 3, Crossfade II Wireless, and H.ear On 2. Thinking about swapping one for these. Not sure which yet.
hahaha thank you and sorry! I'm going to do some testing this week and possibly a comparison video between sony and the PX and qc 35s. I can't say right now because I've been listening to the only the PXs for the past 2 weeks. What I can say is the Noise Cancellation on Bose and Sony is better than the PXs. I did however listen to the crossfade wireless II today and I would say that the PXs over more clarity over bluetooth. When I used the 2.5mm jack with the crossfade wireless IIs they were better. PXs will blow your mind compared to the studio 3s though :) Thanks for watching!
Thanks man! Yeah, I love my CFII Wireless. I don't really use them wireless LOL. They sound too good wired. I mainly use them for gaming and streaming Tidal from my Macbook Pro. I use my H.ear On 2s for most of my bluetooth listening. They sound the best of the 3 I own and the QC35s (Use to own). The Studio 3 I like for working out. They have the most secure fit of everything I own but the CFII Wireless. But I prefer the Studio 3's wireless SQ to the CFII when Wireless.

Good Choice.. Not a fan of B&O headphones tbh.. All their headphones have really bright and harsh highs.

How are the PX compared to the P7 Wireless? Which one has the best sound quality in a home environment?
Hey Patrik! The PXs have the same driver as their 900 dollar P9 headphones which is a huge upgrade over the P7s so I would definitely go with the PXs for home as well. I"ve been using them everyday at home and they've been a real treat to use. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
I had both. The P7 were incredible for their bass response. These PX lack bass unfortunately but have a wider Soundstage
I have both and never touch the px. While being slightly more open sounding the px have no bass compared to the p7. The p7 are the best wireless headphones ever. Also the p7 are much more comfortable.

Lol. I already had the p7 and bought the px thinking it would be an upgrade planning on selling the p7. Even after burn in the p7 just sound better to me. Something about the px just sounds mechanical compared to the p7. Like an artificial surround effect or something. The p7 feel so much more rich and powerful. The px are currently on their way back to amazon lol.

BTunPlugged i kinda go for a lot of hip hop r&b and edm but at the same time i listen to metal from time to time... so its tough to get a pair of headphones that can perform in both sides of the spectrum. I bought the sony mdr xb950 n1 a couple of months ago and i hate both the build quality and its performance when the songs are not meant to be bass heavy. I will probably have to go with these PX. Im just hoping the bass is at least good enough. Thanks for the input bro ✌🏼

Let the PX burn in for about 30 hrs then plug them into a headphone amp (I used a creative X7) and the sound quality (and volume level) will improve exponentially. They actually vibrate with each bass drop when amped. I really thought I had found the perfect wireless and wired headphone until the pain set in. Tried to let them break in for about 2 weeks and had to return them. It's like putting two glass cups on each side of your head. Sound isolation is amazing but after awhile that hard ridge plus the clamping pressure is just to much. If they ever make better earpads I'll buy them again.The search continues.
RageMachine I had the same problem, but after 7 weeks of use they are perfect now. No pain from cups at all. I was about to return them as well, glad I didn't.

It's really very simple. If you want true sound that makes you go "wow, that sounds amazing ", get PX. If you want that artificial bass etc, get Sony or Bose. HD1's are the ONLY competition to these. Great review BT. Always enjoy your reviews even if I'm not interested in the specific product.

It is not that simple. All premium NC headphones from Sony, Bose and Sennheiser sound good and it is mostly a matter of preference which sound signature you like ( there are fans for all these headphones). Besides Sony headphones does not have artificial or bloated bass ( except may be XB series) . Sony headphones such as wh1000x series and h.ear on 2 have punchy bass that does not ruin other frequencies. Artificial and bloated bass is most likely a characteristic of Skullcandy and Beats headphones.

I'm gonna go buy the BoweRs with an R 😉🙈 and Wilkens PX's today. They are the most classy headphones I've ever seen, and they just make great speakers. And I've always wanted to have a set of their floor speakers, but I believe in supporting your own country if they have the merchandise, and in my country we have a speaker company called DALI, and I support them by buying their floor speakers, but now I can finally have a B&W product without letting DALI down, because they don't make headphones.

my personal favorite is the PX.. but i know some people have a better time with the fit of the hear on 2.. So I put the Hear on as the best.. What works for me might not be best for everyone so I tried to pick a great all arounder for everyone. Hope this made sense. Thanks for watching!

Got a pair of these over priced pieces of crap - the worst head phones ever. I would not recommend buying. I got mine for a gift - thinking of throwing in the trash they are so worthless. Connecting to my JBL ear buds is no problem - these crappy head phones - take for ever to pair, then they forget how to pair with a device that they were formally paired with - they are CRAP!!!!!!! DON'T BUY THESE CRAPPY HEADPHONES. I would take a $1.00 pair of headphones from Walmart over these. They are worthless, completely worthless.
