- power acoustik bamf 12's powered by a bamf 8000.1 @.5ohm. dual chamber transmission line box. tuned to 42hz peaks from 24hz-62hz.
Very impressive!! POWER ACOUSTIK has my attention. Now I got the 12" Gothic subwoofer for my room and it shakes.
thats awesome, but they would sound a lot better in a box with a port like 4x bigger than that one
I have 4 bamfs in a box and get questions daily they are more than great for the money they get down with the over hyped over priced equipment if I upgrade anything I’ll probably just got to 15s
The 15s get down. I have them and want to get some 12s

I'm debating on buying a set of these 12's cuz we been running just the gothic 12's for the last year & for $70 dollar subs they're very impressive but am wanting something more... Curious if you are still running these & if you think still like them & what you think they can truly handle since we all know power acoustic's is a big over rating company(not that all companies aren't all over rating these days) but we have the razor 2500.1 pushing our 2 gothics & it's got plenty more power to give for such a little amp... Obviously I know that wont power these bad boys even close but I'm just mentioning it to highlight why I am quickly becoming a power acoustic fan... Over rated or not they really do make pretty impressive equipment for a stupidly affordable price... & I'm used to competition sub's & set ups... My last system was a 4500 watt Orion amp & a 15" hds2 soundqubed so I am use to pretty heavy duty equipment but I also like to save my money at all costs so power acoustic is kinda becoming my go to brand now thanks to that! Im debating on getting the 5000.1 PPI precision power black ice amp... It comes with 160Amps worth of external fuse power which volts x amps= watts if I'm not mistaken so I think it would be enough to push these monsters... Honestly it probably won't be able to give them everything they can handle but I think it'll come close... I'm curious if your bamf amp has external or internal fuses? Reason I ask is I'm pretty partial to external fuses I've heard too many bad stories about internal fused amps having issues or not living up to their potential usually but it appears that that bamf amp is ripping your sub's pretty tough so if it is an internal fused amp I'm definitely impressed for sure!
The bamf subs I like for small setups. Definitely budget friendly with the option to rebuild the sub when it blows. As for the rzr2500. The best I've gotten was 750rms from it but, that's actually the rated power. With that amp and those subs I would say would be good combo and if you can run a rzr2500 per sub. I loved them but, needed more so I've been running Resilient Sounds Gold 12s since and now have a build for 8 12s on 2 md1ks lol
The Gothics still got more room to play....give em more power. if your box is right, they can take it!

Which amp is it your running ? I am curious cause I have a bamf 8000.1 and I am curious if it will handle .5 ohm load .
That amp, the bamf 8000.1, i had it at .5 for 2years. The problem is i could only get 1500rms from that amp. But, it took alot of abuse. So, it will handle .5ohms 😁
The amp is really not meant for .5 but will give you way over 4k rms at 1ohm I'm running one on 2 skar 15s

I own a term lab. And clamped that amp. With 2 d2 12s wired at .5 with rise that amp only gave me just a bit over 1500rms. My voltage would drop horribly from 13.9 to 10. If I was able to hold voltage I may have gotten more than 2k rms. But, definitely not 4k

I ran that amp for 2 years at .5ohms the problem is even with the amp wired that low the most power I was able to get from that amp was 1500rms. I did upgrade electrical to 2 runs of 1/0 power and ground from the alt to back batteries. Never gained anymore power so I sold that amp and went with 2 vfl comp 2k amps. 1 of those 2ks would do the same power wired at 1ohm as the bamf did at .5ohms.

The reason is because with the subs I had it was 2ohms or .5ohms. With that amp at 2 ohms I wasn't able to get the power needed to play the subs to their full potential. Yeah, the .5ohm load is under what is recommended for that amp. I was careful with it for the first bit,just to make sure the amp could do it. Even though I wired down that low with what poor electrical I had I was only able to clamp no more then 1600rms so each sub was only seeing max of 800rms each

@@QualityAudio got 2 db302s wired a bass 8k half ohm. They eat. I keep some decent headroom before clipping and the amp stays cool

Quality Audio just curious why are the rs gold better but the Acoustik is rated for a higher rms? Sorry I’m a little new to this
The Acoustik ones scream their rated but what they don't tell you is that's the max rated and build quality is more massed produced and Resilient's are more hands on.

They do very good and can get low one the right box. But again. Be careful about the rms I would stay around 1k-1,500 per sub
