The situation you (at times) find yourself in when discussing politics with your family and friends must be a little disconcerting regarding the views you have on certain Politicians and how their performance is scrutinised by you and others.
We have similar problems here in Australia ( not so much race based) but people cannot be swayed one way or the other from their ingrained, chiseled on political leanings/voting habits.

By the time she attended this meeting, the President in the White House had already decided not to take in too many refugees in to the United States. The President had ordered Spain and other countries to take more refugees initially. Later on, just a few weeks later, the President had to flexible position to take way more refugees from Ukraine. If I remember right, the President just before this meeting had decided to take in about 8000 refugees and that the majority of the refugees were to be dispersed in Europe itself. President Biden was best qualified to answer this question that day.
How could this have ever happened?! This is an atrocity, the most humiliating thing this country has ever seen.
