With your symbols and circuit lines in layout how do you take quantities and prepare BOQ for estimating... Layout does not have components and cannot measure runs ?

Vol 3 Traditional method: Since layout is just a tool, the architect relies on his construction expertise for quantity take-offs as the symbols are countable with csv by looking at the dimensions and schedule.
But for the vol 4 bim method:
The lines can be projected in the model, or transferred from layout, to get the quantities with report generation tools - provided they are grouped or tagged properly. (Generating bom is shown in other videos, but the workflow for layout to skp is not shown - some tutorials are part of the paid lessons.)
