    The lime chips are the best.

    Looks great! I'm a black olive fan as well. Would even drink the juice out of the can as a kid.😊

    Looks delicious, I'm making it tomorrow.
    You can make homemade beans. Use 3-4 cups of Pinto bean, sort them real good .
    Wash and put them in a crock pot and add boiling water, cook them overnight.
    Two hours later, add 1tsp salt.
    When they feel soft and tender, drain most of the juice.
    Set aside.
    Add 3-4 Tablespoons of bacon dripping, mash them up.
    And enjoy
    My mom used to make them that way

      @@inthekitchenwithmatt When I was watching this video, I thought you were going to bake this casserole. But then at the end of the video, I realized “Oh! Matthew didn’t bake this casserole. It would be good if it’s baked so that the chips don’t break when he dips them into the casserole.” Also, because you put shredded cheese on top of your casserole & usually most foods with shredded cheese on top get baked. Anyways. This recipe sounds very versatile.

      @@maxduong4537 It isn't considered a casserole just a chip dip. :)

      @@inthekitchenwithmatt Dipping Tostitos into guacamole or hummus or any dip you want will make it taste very yummy. A Queso dip is so good for Tostitos. I think you must do a video on making a Queso dip.

    After putting it together, can I heat it in the oven?

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt
      @inthekitchenwithmatt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Susan, sure, if you like, you can heat it in the oven. Although guacamole isn't normally heated. It doesn't mean you can't heat it. Traditionally this dip is served cold or room temp.

      You could bake it if you like, but traditionally 7 layer dip isn't baked. :)

    Looks good, don't you have to cook the refried beans

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt
      @inthekitchenwithmatt  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! No you don't. Refried beans are already cooked. You can eat them straight out of the can if you want, haha.

      I cook anything that is in a can

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt
      @inthekitchenwithmatt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Then heat them up first. They have already been cooked twice before being put in the can, so they are fully cooked before ever making it into the can.@@theomz007

    Oh my! I gotta make me some of that; I might share it, or then again... That would do so well for dinner guests too, maybe out on the patio; al fresco. Do not tell me that you ate that all by yourself. lol. It's definitely a dish to be shared. :)

    Matt… I like watching your cooking shows, but you definitely need an editor. Sometimes you just go on and on, changing subjects, and not really finishing the original statement. I do watch your shows, so hang in there, and keep making them!!

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt
      @inthekitchenwithmatt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks John. No, I am happy editing them myself. What original statement did I not finish in this video? What information would you cut out? Also, definitely a matter of opinion/teaching style. When learning some people want more information not less. I have been in the professional training video world for many years, way before TH-cam. haha, but anyways thanks for watching and I appreciate your opinion! Also did you see my other versions? I have 3 minute versions of older videos with just music and text. Eventually every video will have a couple versions.
