    So much more meaningful and powerful when an O’odham speaks. O’odham speak from centuries of oral tradition versus ‘research’ which is so often tainted by myopic white perspective. The two different perspectives can be heard here. Appreciated so much the O’odham commentary included for 14 1/2 minutes of the 1 hr and 37 min presentation.

    So difficult these days to tell the difference between academia and advocacy. Like tea and soup, both are good on their own, but both are ruined when combined.

      If academia is evidence-based, then it shouldn't be divorced from activism. If so, what's the point of studying the subject?
