The main issues in KFI is with few money minded producers who dont have much knowledge about the craft. They expect all the directors should make KGF like movies with all other stars, the best example was 'Kabza' which is like a remake or spoof of KGF and bombed at the BO.. There are good writers in KFI but they are still searching for good producers!! Even some star actors should focus on good stories and contents.

Just finished watching Shakhahaari on amzon prime. Good movie. Mayb If the same movie was made in Malayalam, it would done decent box office collection. There are some good directors in kannada industry but they dont get the support they deserve from the audience. And there are also some bad directors who might be the reason why people in Karnataka dont go to theaters as much as in other states do.

From those I've seen Blink, Shakahaari and case of kondana was decent to good level movies. But nothing else were attractive nor felr good to me.

Please don't spread hate to Upendra after watching Kabza because he is just acted how director narrated him.
Upendra is one of Greatest director in the history of Sandalwood.
IDMB Ranked him as 8th best director in the world.
Honestly speaking Rajamouli & Hirani are not even 10% of Upendra in terms of direction.
Because every movie Upendra directed has different GENRES without any flops.
Yash, rishabh Shetty', Prashant Neel, Sudeep are diehard fans of Upendra.
We call Him "REALSTAR" because every movie he directed has realistic facts, real fights scenes that you can relate in your life and unimaginable screenplay, and story Which gave you adrenaline rush in 90s and today also. And never made any flop movies till now, Success ratio 100%.
      Top 5 Upendra Directed Movies
      1. A (First reverse climax movie in India)
      2. OM (Re-released for more than 560times)
      3. Upendra (Cult classic and in movie the hero name is "I" [me] 😂)
4.Uppi-2 ( part 2 of Upendra and the hero name is 'YOU")

I am a Half Kanadiga and a Half Mallu, when you look at old Kanada movies of Vishuvardan, Rajkumaar, Sankar Nag, Ananth Nag, Ambrish.... They have done a great job for Kanada industry but in modern days i think the only better actors i feel are the RRR Shettys, Yash and Sudeep. When you look into Malayalam films they are more content and technical oriented compared to other Industries, The industry was always blessed with good or some great actors like the 2 big M's, Jayan, PremNazir.... The new generation also gives competition to the older ones thats why Malayalam industry had a upward trajectory. The Kanada trajectory went down in early 2000 till this day unlike some Expectional movies comes out like KGF, Kantara, 777 Charlie....

More important question: Why is this channel pitting one south industry again other south industry ALWAYS? Baiting for more comments? More engagement? I have observed it in previous videos also, like: "why are tamil/telugu starts so big in Kerala? Because their own portrayal of heroes are not manly enough?" This channel knows how to pit someone against another very well , they are just making views stirring people's insecurities. Shame. South industries has always existed inspiring each other not dissing each other. Kannada has created many gems even in the 90s 80s , so has Malayalam, so has tamil. I have grown up watching movies from these 3 industries. every industries has their phases. some times we loose our form then we will gain it back then we loose something then gain.. its the way it is. Stop comparing/pitting people against each other. he have co-existed & supposed each other & we will continue.

Most people that are part of the industry in aspects like production, story writing, music, emotional quotient, creativity and art, are not passionate to create something meaningful. Unfortunately even the audience seem to accept the low standard movies if their hero acts in it. There are many things messed up with Kannada industry but thanks to Yash, Rakshith, Rishab, Pavan Kumar, and other creative people that are indeed passionate to contribute something valuable to the industry. Currently there are few artists that are great, Puneeth Rajkumar had even started his own production where he supported budding talents only to make sure the real artists get their chace to shine. Sad he is no more but glad his family is continuing his vision. Yash is a visionary who promised us he would take us to national and international level and he did it. Of course he only got more responsibility to fulfill but our hero delivered what he promised. Hoping more artists come forward and take our industry forward.
    Jai Shree Ram🙏

    3. Upendra (Cult classic and in movie the hero name is "I" [me] 😂)
4.Uppi-2 ( part 2 of Upendra and the hero name is 'YOU")
5 Shh.. ( horror psychological thriller with reverse direction)

Ive been a kannada movie viewer since 1980s. Kannada movies had its highs and lows during this period, but the truth is, its highs are sporadic and shortlived. Since the 1990s mainstream kannada movies have been celebrating the street rowdy, and more movies in kannada than any other industry champion the uneducated, crude, gangleader types of lead characters. If one looks at the 70s and 80s including Rajkumar and Vishnuvardhan movies the protagonist was the middleclass man - a college professor, a forest officer, a villager seeking a job in Bangalore and so on. In no other time in history has an industry consistently represented and made heroes out of those sections of society that are aspirational to the lower rungs of the masses and that too for all the wrong reasons like power and violence.

Later we saw it on OTT n felt extremely sad that such wonderful movie didnt have enough theatres.
This should change. Our kannada movies must get more theatres and shouldn't fall prey for such situations. I understand them not getting theatres in other states but its sad to see this in our own Karnataka.

Where Did Kannada Industry Go Wrong..!
    1. Filming Teams Are Planning To Make their Movies a Best Content based and No Loss Movies For Producers and KFI, So, They're Moving on and on to make their movie a luxury one. which's wrong actually
2.Pan India Concept:- Let The Movies Should get Released in their Respective Language Like How Avesham and Manjummel Boys Gone out.Though They Plan Pan India And Else, They Take Time To Get It Dubbed and Promoted..So, This Long Procedure Stretches The Market Slash
3.Selection in Scripts:- Even Though They Select Good Quality Scripts They should have the responsibility or limitations among themselves to get shooted in small amount of months Which makes it easy to create more scripts
4.Budget and Marketing:- It's a worst planning in KFI, Directors obviously comes out with a good story and producer also accepts it and will be ready to invest..
But, Going on attached to Quality and Else, People will shift to watch other language movies and obviously they'll blame on our industry
5.Mass Audiences & General Audience:- People Expect Everything to be thrilling and attached to our life, And films should be entertaining.. No matter it is mass or commercial..Our People Should Support Every Movies
Ex:- Vijay Raghavendra Sir's Case Of Kondana, Seetharam Benoy And Other Movies like Diya, Ratnan Prapancha,Hoysala,SSE Side A & B, Hostel Hudugaru Bekagidare, Bachelor's Party and Many more Movies are not Supported Widely, we guys will see only stars face which's wrong..
That's why, people around us are Taking The Name Of Malayalam Movies Everywhere Because Of Their Descent Trajectories in Movie Making
Every Movie is made for Entertainment and Feedbacks,
Then only, Directors gets a boost on attracting everyone of us in different scripts..
I think not only these many reasons, Even many more reasons are there for the weakening performance by us,,
Malayalam Industry doesn't looks the face money at all,The aspects is that to give the best entertainment and happiness, Good Scripts to Stars and Hanging up with new Talents
You may see Movies Like, Hridayam,Avesham,Manjummel Boys, Turbo, Mallikapuram King of Kotha, The GOAT life and many more..
These Movies Went amazing all over South and even in OTTs..
So, That's When they get a boost on writing best scripts and execution .
I Think Pan India Concept should be erased here, Then We can make films faster with limited budget so that we can make multiple films in future too,
If Movies Gone So well and other Industry people wants to watch our talents, Then we can Dub the movie , So That, They'll Get a Justification on our movies and Well Get a Satisfactory results
I Hope I've not said anything harmful and Wrong..,
I wish these changes can happen
    💜

The problem here lies with what producers and directors are willing to take bet on the kind of movies to make or produce. Here the core issue is that although it looks like there are many people like shetty trio and director like prashant neel, Its just not enough. Kannada audience here very selective of the kind of cinema they prefer to watch. So some of the experimental movies which actually might be good, gets ignored. This doesn't help as because of this more and more directors and producers get scared to take risks and stick to routine-proven formulaic movies which although is average at best but earns them a quick buck( Example : kabza, kateera , kranti , ghost). I don't think kannada audience's taste has developed enough to enjoy a flim like SSE or any other experimental movies. The only reason kannada movies like kgf, kantara grossed well in 2022 is because of various factors that push them to wider audience ( like mass action and religion ). Charlie 777 was the only movie that although very simple, had something unique to offer to the table. The problem is kannada audience unlike other industries is just too diverse compared to its contemporaries. We need unique directors and actors that can experiment and cater to a wider audience.

Honestly, there is also an issue with audiences and filmmakers. There are some people who are just claiming the film is a blockbuster and calling audiences to the theaters. Despite how audiences raved about Ghost, I believed it was not even a good film. According to someone I know, Ghost crossed the investment line but achieved less than 10 % profit. Makers are brainwashing audience, that should be banned.
On an another note, I still dont understand how shittier or very average film becomes blockbuster. Trust me, Kaatera was a average film and I felt the most essense was copied from here and there. Not to begin a star wars or something, big heroes should stop everything and rewire themselves on how to choose a nice script and how to join hands with the upcoming directors. Rajanikanth or Vijay or Ajith is making a film with just a new comer who have just directed 1 film 🤯
Give chance to team of Daredevil Mustafa, Hostel Hudugaru bekagiddare or whoever showed a new rev in kannada cinema.. Many of these last decade successful movies have been made by newcomers, such as Rakshith Shetty, Rishab Shetty, Hemanth Rao, Raj B Shetty, Prashanth Neel, and others. Now a days, a cinema is no more a kannada cinema which stays in Karnataka or Southern part of India, it is reaching all over the world. Malayalam films have captured the audiences now.

Nowadays heroes are also onfouencing the film. No matter the content, but if hero is famous, it will get a decent box office collection definitely. For example, if kaatera was made by any other heroes other than sudeep sir, yash sir or darshan sir, it would be a flop really. The directors are not stepping ahead and getting good production because they fear about losses. Story telling is Fantastic in kannada movies, for example "ondu sarala prema kathe" is an amazing movie. But didn't get much publicity. That's it, it went down after few days, weeks and a month.

High budget, star-led action movies don't define KFI. There have been some well-made intriguing movies in the last 6-9 months which are promising.
Unfortunately, our own people are not recognising them, let alone the Non-Kannadiga audience. The decision makers in the industry are pleading the "stars" to make movies frequently to save the industry, while conveniently sidelining debutants' refreshing attempts.
Regardless, the industry is far from a dull phase by any measure. There are promising movies which reaffirm the confidence that the future is in good hands. It's about time before these movies catch other audiences' attention.

kannada industry should start to make documentary movies, art and craft oriented movies rather than commercial movies. Kollywood made a movie about a kannadiga soora rai potru, where kannada industry is still trying to make movies about rowdy sheeters. I mean we have so many achievers from our state but still we choose local dons to inspire young audience. Also raise of double meaning movies in kannada making kfi lag in pulling audience to the theaters, at first it worked, but cheap tricks wont work every time.
