All these areas will be re-zoned as flood areas if they weren't already. Time to pack up and move to higher ground. My heart goes out to the victims.Very sad.

@BLACK DEATH yes I agree Katrina was worse but this is very similar but also in Louisiana is way below sea-level level that's why they flooded so bad South Carolina and North Carolina and still almost got the same results

How many people are in those houses? This is horrendous. I was watching the local news reports & they weren’t warning the people to get out, only showing minorflooding for the most part.

carolinafan2016 I will hun. I did hear that a woman had a dream and a strong sense of doom (who was living in the area) -and she hesitated telling others-so then her 3 year old daughter had a dream and told her mom that everyone is going to drown in their houses! After that she did tell people in her family, and they moved inland...
I’m not seeing ANY reports today, so I’m going to go search it out, and let you know what I find.

I did animal search and rescue through that neighborhood, I recognize the buildings and layout of the town, we were able to save several dozen animal lives until the small town police kicked us out for boating through their farms. Dead farm animals floating everywhere. Very depressing scene.

this was as bad as matthew 2 years ago; actually worse flooding than fran and floyd just less wind. this will take us years to reecover from like the other storms. some people were still displaced from matthew!
