    Hey coach! When I run the 100 metres I observe that my knee lifts are good but they don't open up properly. What am I supposed to do to fix that?

    When i do distance running i saw almost no improvement for a year, my endurance suck. I cant run for more than 1km even at slow jog pace
    I recently switched to sprinting (about a month and a half, only once a week to adapt)
    My 100m time goes down from 18s to 12s.
    Most likely due to better form each session, newbie gains and losing weight but sprinting feels much better and natural to me. My body responds better to sprinting than jog

      @The Anomaly you can get newbie gains unlimited( if you have enaugh igf1 ) !!! There is no genetic limit like gregg doucette says !!! He s an idiot steroids doesn’t t increase myofibrillars !! Search on TH-cam and you will find a channel named GENETIC BEAST ! from 80 kg 18 percent bodyfat to 100 kg 15 percent 178 cm height and I m fast because I don t Cary water in muscles I increased my fast twich muscle fibers!!!!!! In just 1 year of training full body (1 a week upper body and 1 a week legs) for beginner you will need 2 weeks of from physical activity ( you can walk ) and then go to the gym !

    On the men's side in the sprints, that racial gap is glaring. The top 5 fastest men of all time were all of West African descent. But on the women's side, not so much. If anyone did their research on the history of the sprints in the Olympics, world championships, and Area records in athletics for the women, you'll see how it practically doesn't exist. Li Xuemi of China, the fastest Asian women in history, ran 100m in 10.79 seconds. Now remember, the average man can run 100m a full second faster than the average woman. So if Li Xuemi was a man, that's easily translated to 9.79 seconds. Which is faster than the fastest Asian born man in fellow Chinese Su Bingtian, who's 100m personal best is just 9.91 seconds. See what I'm talking about?

      Improve hamstring strength and also need to work on leg cycle to put more force into the ground when sprinting

    I ran country for one season then ran track the following and saw my 200m time go from 24 seconds (year prior) to 22.8
    Wasn't the best school for learning proper running mechanics and we did do the usual weight training. Did running cross country that season not help my 200 time?

      It may have had some short term benefit based on results but that would not be a good long term strategy for improving speed.

    This video fails to mention there are over 100 genes total that we know effect running performance. It is the unique combinations of these & environmental factors that determine performance outcome 😁🙏

  • @KazDolla1
    @KazDolla1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I agree training will make you stronger and faster. But the reality genetics plays a larger role than you state. Jordan, Kobe, LeBron, Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Mayweather, Bo Jackson, Jim Brown, Jerry Rice none are fast as Usain Bolt. But yet they dominated their Selective sport. From the research that I've done I found that a lot of it is due to selective breeding and natural selection.

    • @Performancelabofcalifornia
      @Performancelabofcalifornia  ปีที่แล้ว

      Take them out of their environment though and I do not think you get the same result.
      i.e. Michael Jordan is the older brother that makes varsity as a freshman easily in high school
      Kobe Bryant is rated a top basketball player in the nation early on in high school
      Mike Tyson's parents are present throughout his childhood and he lives with them until graduating high school
      Mayweather doesn't have his dad. etc etc.

    I don't consider myself "FAST" but during middle school/High school Physical Education class I would ace every kid in "back to back" sprints
    I've raced a few kids in my old neighborhood & I've beaten most of them
    Granted I didn't utilitze any techniques
    I just "RAN"

      Then you are naturally a sprinter. But to be elite, you need proper sprint mechanics, strength training and the speed endurance
