Yeah he certainly is man 👍 good to see he's over come his addiction problems, addiction is a terrible thing to be in or to witness a loved on gripped by it its a bad disease. I went to see Pete laat Thursday in Belfast great gig really enjoyed it.. Prior to playing he was at the bar having abit of craic/banter with the fans he's always been a chilled people person. Love this tune & many others by him.
@@mccumiskey87 same thing in Argentina. He stayed like 1 month in here, having fun with the people and enjoying Argentinean culture. A really really nice man

I’ve been a fan of Pete and the Libertines since I was about 12-13. I’m 30 now and when I listen to him it fills me with nostalgia and sadness because I love him so deeply, it almost hurts to listen to him these days. One of my first ever gigs was dirty pretty things in Cambridge in 2006. I sadly never got to see Babyshambles because most of their gigs were 16 and over and at the time, I was too young but I did see a lot of solo Pete gigs at the time, too many to count. The first time I ever got to see the Libertines was at Reading 2009 and I cried the whole way through, I spent my teenage years completely obsessed with Pete then when they finally got back together 5 or so years ago I followed them around their UK and European tour. Listening to this song now breaks my heart.

Why does it hurt to listen to him these days? Do you mean his songwriting used to be better? Or do you think he is not well? I know he has often been struggling with drugs, but every time he was sober he got stocky, so I reckoned he was ok now as he looks a bit bulky in the video?
@@ixlnxs petes a romantic poet & he knows his best work came before he was 25. Him capturing how he felt in those days is what makes him so special as a writer.

I was into britpop in 90s and when it ended, there came the Libertines. From that time on, I almost just listen to Pete whether it’s Libertines, Babyshambles or his collaboration with other people. I can’t find any interest in any other bands. I tried Arctic monkeys, the muse, Lily Allen but just for a short period. And Pete also changed a lot throughout the years but whatever music he makes, I just love it. I love music and I really wonder I’ll got nothing to listen without him. Really glad to have him here.
Lol I had the same issue for a long time but now I'm listening to some heavy metal that I always ignored in the shower and sometimes pop on some classical music
