Great video. I remember being a teenager and getting a VTEC cordless phone. I had run an extension phone line under the hall rug to my bedroom from my parents jack across the hall. VTEC was relatively new back then. Or at least to me. It had a really neat feature where if anybody was using a line in the house a light would blink on the base and I think the handset letting you know that someone was talking on the phone so you wouldn’t interrupt their call. This might’ve been in the late 80s.
Hi Jordan, I’m happy to see another phone video! But I wonder, why do you say that the issue with that one handset is the batteries? To me it sounds like a spoiled speaker.
Dude that ringer is a banger and that's exactly why I bought the Panasonic KX-TGE270 because of that being a ringtone I just can't wait for it to arrive at my house it's already been shipped
I have the same set from the Goodwill Thrift Store in the Monroe when it was still the open. Now the West Monroe Goodwill Thrift Store is the only one left the open.
Good Video Bro I enjoyed the video also I hope you will get the roof and light fixed soon and I was going to ask you are you still doing video of the day ? Haven’t seen them in a while
For some strange reason, the KX-TG6521 base is only used on the KX-TG6572R (this model). The 652x series uses a 6531 base, which is strange. The handset model number choice was also odd--KX-TGA652 included with KX-TG651x/653x/654x series, KX-TGA653 included with KX-TG652x/6572. Neither of these handsets can be purchased separately--the "matching" handset would be KX-TGA651, which is the KX-TG658x series' handset (same as the 652 handset but supports the Bluetooth features of the 658x series). Not sure why the KX-TG652x/653x/6572 didn't all share the 6521 base when the only differences were colors and handset models. Now they do change just the colors and handset models, using the same base model. For example, the 2021 KX-TGD830 series base was reused for the 2022 KX-TGD890 series, changing from black or white to silver, and it comes with KX-TGDA99 Bluetooth handsets instead of KX-TGDA83 handsets. They didn't create a separate KX-TGD890 base just for this model, since the only difference was the color and the included handset. The "higher base model but lower handset model" oddity also applied to the 2019 KX-TGF77x/78x, with the 78x coming with KX-TGFA71 handsets and the 77x coming with KX-TGFA72 handsets.

Vtech has held onto the Line in Use indicator on many of their models to this day. I always liked the feature as well.
That’s my great uncles phone! Nice video.
Thanks for letting me know.
The Jordan, I have that same set I bought at the Goodwill Thrift Store as the well. They're still at the Phones Cabinet.
Thanks for letting me know.

A spoiled speaker wouldn't cause a whole shutdown of the unit. This is a battery issue.
13:31 My Grandpa's old ringtone 😊

Suffix R means red. I believe this color is called Red Wine.
As with all these 6.0 Plus models, call screening has to be changed per-handset.
Thanks for letting me know.

How come the phone was acting up when you was calling it up?
Was it because it was about those batteries that were screwed up?
I don't know.
@@JordanU probably it’s just so old that the batteries are screwed up right?
@@ibrahimwahidi-cw6dt That's cap. The batteries were the correct type. The brand doesn't matter.
