You can get them in S90V also! D-2 is a great knife steel, though. Too bad I couldn’t make up my mind, and had to order 2, in different colors, Enjoy 😉!
Hans- Jürgen Wiegand you will definitely be happy I’m not a fan of the clip some like it but that’s the only downside to me mine has a black handle and it looks great. I was looking at the one in cpm154 great steel fairly easy to sharpen and with the ironwood handles for some extra pop but I do love g10.I own some folders in s90v great steel but putting an edge on it in the field with a pocket stone is impossible for me had to get a Ken onion electric belt sharpener for the higher grade steels but I do admit I’m no pro at it but fair👍✌️.
HAHAHAHA!!! You got me again. Right up until the chopping board section I was actually taking this seriously. At least it's not called the Manly Companion - that name has me in stitches every time! Your closing statement "it's a great tool" had me spitting out my beer. (Manly - what were they thinking?).... Lol.. :)
I disagree with clip theory. Most ppl dont like clips that are in the middle of a knife. It stabs your belly, Its too high to fetch. Dangler or higher clip are a go for most ppl. Of course i like the review because its so detailed.
I love the Drugar, it cuts better than the Patriot. It has the best full flat blade of any fixed knife I own. If it only had a bit shorter and thicker handles, it would be my all time favorite fixed blade!
this reminds me of a recent design by Tonife. if you like this but dont wanna spend this much, it might be worth checking it out. For what its worth, I heard that this CPM154 doesn't perform the same as it does on other knives. It would make sense given the price. Can't say personally, but its the rumor. cool knife though.
I do like the TOPS clip, but the inability to remove it is a problem. Don't get why this has been a sticking point for so many brands. Even the best ones can be bulky and cause the whole affair to print. Sigh
Dude, nobody watching knife reviews is going to get triggered by a brand name - well except maybe you, you do mentioned it rather a lot. Now if you want an example of snowflake-like behaviour just look the 2nd Amendment ‘snowflakes’ who had a meltdown because Benchmade helped their local police force when asked, calling for boycotts and throwing away perfectly good knives. 😂
This, right here! I stand behind this comment. I laugh to myself when folks get all tongue in cheek and chuffed with themselves while they “sneakily” attempt to alienate a specific demographic they consider themselves “superior” to. But then those very same individuals become irate when someone else doesn’t see eye to eye with them, and they resort to name-calling and using all the current buzzwords and phrases. Whenever I hear “snowflakes” and “triggered” or “get a box of Kleenex” or “if you’re offended by toxic masculinity”, I just slowly tune out. Especially when these phrases are used as a precursor to someone’s rant, who is obviously very pleased with themselves, when there isn’t even an issue to begin with. Seems to me, some individuals fish for drama when all WE are trying to do is get behind something I thought we all had in COMMON to begin with. Strange, and even immature at times.... Oh well, I still enjoy good knife content!
For me, personally I see a clip like that to be a big plus. I do a lot of bushwhacking at work and knives on my belt have gotten snagged by branches. It's a big pain in the butt to have to retrace my steps through the jungle to find my knife or cellphone
Cold steel seems to get their sheaths right, I do like their secure-ex sheaths and also obviously custom knife makers where you can request any kind of sheath you may want... Alot of the more popular production knives just have too bulky of belt clips or just poor quality sheaths in all....
I have three Manly knives; the Comrade, Patriot and the peak in D2 steel. Great fit and finish. Heat treat on the D2 appears to be very good for I am happy with the performance and how the edge comes back nicely on the Syderco Sharp Maker. Enjoyable review.
@@codywhite8220 Hi Cody, I really like the Comrade and you can order them directly from the Manly factory in Bulgaria. I ordered my Patriot model from there and it only took 8 working days to receive it in Denver. Sipping is around 7.00 U.S.; the Comrade is 49.9 euros which is is around 57.00. Hope this information is helpful. Keep in mind the Comrade has three different stop positions instead of just the half stop on traditional slip joints. I loosened the pivot slightly so it is easier to open the knife. This is by far my favorite slip joint.
@@codywhite8220 I ordered the knife directly from the Manly knives in Sofia, Bulgaria. The Comrade is available in D2 and CPM 154; mine is the D2 and this blade does everything I want it to do. When you get to the order box there is a drop down box that will say D2, if you want the CPM 154 hit the down arrow on the box. Enjoy. You are welcome.
Cody White I ordered 2 Comrades from their factory website on the 3rd of March, and paid it with Pay-Pal, got it on the 27th. I’ve got a blue/black in S90V & an orange one in D-2. I love them, but not any better than the Peaks, Patriots, or Drugar Knife from Manly USA. They are so popular, that they have trouble keeping them in stock. When they are in stock, I buy multiples, while they have them. The Comrades are the best steak knives, I’ve used. They work well on Brie cheese wheels. I haven’t got the Wasp yet, but I will get a couple, I was waiting until I seen how the others worked. They are great, & a lot of quality for the money 💴. I bought my last expensive pocket knife, I’ll do just great with my Manly knives, & my Spidercos, Benchmade, Esee’s, North Arms & Emerson’s. Oh, I almost forgot, free shipping, over 100 euros 💶.
haha, trigger warning. people in other countries are wondering what youre talking about and that there is nothing wrong with being manly....they don't realize its borderline illegal here.
Nobody is going to be triggered by a brand name, some people just look for any excuse to call other people snowflakes, usually they are the most snowflakey people themselves. An example being the 2nd Amendment guys having a meltdown because Benchmade helped their local police force destroy illegal firearms.
There is something beautiful about the simplicity of this design. As far as the name is concerned, if it offends somebody that's a bonus.
What's wrong with its name? I don't get why someone could be offended by a knife name 🤔
Really love this knife I have the D2 version what a great blade for the price thinking about upgrading to the cpm154 version.
yeah its great

Excellent review. Surprised you didn't talk more about the price point, it is very reasonably priced.
It is great value

I tried to strike a balance it is a fantastic knife I have edc'd it about 10 days now nearly a perfect edc knife uf you wear a belt
The company makes Manly Drugar, drugar means companion/friend. Just got mine manly companion in mail :)
Wow. Not only skins an elephant, but can cut bricks, too. I need one of these!
yes you do

I will check on it

Man I choked on the elephant gutting bit...
Nice review, thanks!
The Real Steel is the Receptor. It's really attractive (looks like a mini Kizer). I'd be interested in a review.
Thanks I will do a review

yeah I can see that and if you wear a belt all the time then it probably doesnt matter as much
Great review. Just received mine and love it, too. But had the same problem with the clip to attach to belt.

Showing the knife doing manly stuff aka not being used by you?
this video was a real challenge because anything I touch becomes manly so how do I let you guys know manly is the brand name

How do you like the comrade, been wanting one but looks like it's not available anymore

nutnfancy is still relevant in knife reviews? i unsubscribed to him like 5 years ago, but now i'm curious
Well probably not I still enjoy the odd video now and then
I said I wasn't into fixed blades. Why are you reviewing this? JK. That's a cool knife. Nothing objectionable, especially at that price point.
that trigger warning introduction is automatic thumbsup from me
Why does everyone keep saying that? What is a trigger warning for? I think I missed something....
Spyderco g clip
haha, trigger warning. people in other countries are wondering what youre talking about and that there is nothing wrong with being manly....they don't realize its borderline illegal here.
Please, can you explain this to me a little bit better. Why would it bother somebody?
Like Ivan I'm not sure I'm getting the joke, is it a PC no, no for feminists? Please tell me it's more than that.

youmissed the satire completly
@@RealBushMonkey Help me out here bro, which is the bad part being a patriot or being manly, still not getting the joke.
The most manly knife is, far and away, the KABAR Marine Corps Fighting Knife.
Sorry, Manly... 😢
I can't believe how fast you skinned that Elephant .
It's just a natural skill honed by years of experience
