This video is so cool because when I was born in 1939 my grandparents lived at 3324 Beard Avenue North. They lived there until about 1965. I so much would love to see that house again but I think there is a good possibility it was torn down when the hospital was built. The place sure looks different than during WWII! I had my first ever date in Robbinsdale and we went to the Terrace Theatre. That was around 1952 and the Terrace was a brand new Theatre then. Looooong time ago!
@@ToTheTwinCities Oh yes. I have such wonderful memories of Robbinsdale. Later we moved to 2919 Knox ave north, which is not far from there. That house doesn't look much different than it did 70 years ago! In those days we took the street cars everywhere. I'm still in love with streetcars today! My father was service manager for a Hudson dealership, Hencir Motors, which was on West Broadway.
@@ToTheTwinCities Oh yeah. When I lived there in the early 50's it was called Daytons I think. I guess JL Hudsons must have acquired Daytons at some point. J L Hudsons began in Detroit where I live now.
Btw robbinsdale high school doesnt exist anymore. Its now a middle school and if you live in robbinsdale you have to get bussed all the way to armstrong high school in plymouth (part of robbinsdale schools). It kinda sucks but its still better than the other high school (cooper).
60 yr old guy here n my house for over 20 years now. Very nice tour of my hometown. Thank you. I learned some cool things.
Glad you enjoyed it!

That is so cool, Bob!! I think 3324 Beard is still standing it’s just south of the hospital :)

@@ToTheTwinCities Could you please tell me the name of that hospital?
That is all so cool! I wish we still had some street cars. And Hudsons for that matter! What a time. And the hospital is called North Memorial.

Amazing tour of the first city in America!
I love Robbinsdale. Greetings from Helsinki
That’s so cool!
What would be a similar neighborhood with hood schools? Asking from CA.
Robbinsdale High School is not in Crystal, Robbinsdale has over a thousand homes built before 1930.

Very good to know!! I thought I said something about the high school not being in Robbinsdale, but I think I said it wrong!
So you telling me after me perfect Curt Hennig and ravishing Rick rude go and make a school famous. They shut the school down?
So Jesse, if you were to move from downtown, but reluctantly because you needed more space, which neighborhood would *you* move to?
Jesse, where are you getting these dope a** instrumentals from? My wife and I be jamming in the living room😂😂
Hahah yesss! They’re from Epidemic Sound!
