Can you automate an update query to run at a certain time? Once a day or once every couple days?

Can we make report based on update query ?
Not directly, no. An update query updates data. Now, you could have a field in the table that's being updated called "DateUpdated" and set that to Now(). You could then report on the data that was recently changed.

I want to update a table field with the sum() of group by from another table having same Item.
Actually, I want to update a table called "Netstock" having fields: (Item, Category, Qty) . And another table called "Inward" having fields: (Bill_No, Bill_Date, Item, Category, Qty, Price, Amount) . Now, I want to Update the "Qty" field of "Netstock" with Sum(Inward.Qty) Group By Inward.Item, Inward.Category where Inward.Item =Netstock.Item and Inward.Category=Netstock.Category.
I'm not able to find out any solution for the same.

The user asked for a "quick and easy" way, so maybe he could just do a Find & Replace on the datasheet table. Or he could sort the table by state so all the N's are together, then manually correct them or use Find & Replace.
Yeah, but I already have Find and Replace videos. This gives me an opportunity to teach something new. And hey... it WAS quick and easy! :)
Then you might as well just use Excel.
