    I find it truly fascinating that down here on Earth, war and poverty take reign. Along with riots and rage. Meanwhile, astronauts are above us, looking down and not seeing any of that. Those issues are the least of their worries. Once you look at the big picture, you realize how pettish our "worries" are. Thank you NASA, for allowing me to understand humanity.

      ***** It was men who asked questions that determined that the earth is a globe and not flat as everyone was told. It was men who asked questions and learned that the earth is not the center of the Universe and that the earth and planets orbit the Sun. So people that think the earth is flat are asking questions and only have stupid answers and have no understanding of science.
      When I ask questions to the flat earthers they don't answer them, or can't answer them or give me answers that are total bullshit.

    NASA Johnson Space Center, help. I've been trying to figure out the path. At the start, there's a big coastal land mass, and then we travel, I assume ESE, into the sunset, over what I think is an ocean. Then there are city lights in the far SE corner, so I assume we are back over a land mass, but there are no other city lights. I don't know the timeframe of the video, it is obviously sped up, but my best guess is this video begins at the mid-Atlantic coast of the United States, crosses the Atlantic, ends up in Africa after nightfall and caught the night lights of Dakar, or maybe Sierra Leone? Please advise. Other guess is Australia to NZ.

    Why are the clouds not moving at all? It looks like a composite. :/

    • @Darion350
      @Darion350 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From what I read, clouds can move at just over 100mph tops. They barely looks like they're moving when we look at them from here, let alone when viewed from 250 kilometers above.

      That's cause the iss is moving at 17500 km/h so the clouds don't appear to move. The clouds would have to be going at least mach 5 for you to notice any changes

    Its so beautiful... but why there is always no stars? No milkey way...Never on any picture. Can someone answer ne please? :/

    • @SolarLiner
      @SolarLiner 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +TheMotyl Ever felt like being in the dark getting back inside after a time out under the bright sun? Your eyes were used to the bright light outside, and the inside of your house isn't as luminous. So as you enter, suddenly you feel like the need to turn on all the lights in the room, but after a few seconds it's fine again.
      Well the same thing happens here. The Earth is bright, and the stars and the Milky Way are faint enough to not be picked up by the camera sensor (or your eyes if you were up there). If you were to hide the Earth, you'd see stars and the Milky Way just fine (in fact, on the night side they do see both).

    • @ConspiracySmurf
      @ConspiracySmurf 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +TheMotyl Because the art dept is lazy...notice in ISS pics and vids that during the day it's mostly clouds over water they show you and at night they go over land with no clouds to show the pretty lights...it's easier to fake that way without all the tricky details. Google Earth manages to take/use images that are clear and cloud free so you can zoom into your backyard...but then they are really just using planes, balloons, etc because there are no real satellites, everything is groundbased, on skyscrapers or masts erected in the oceans as well as underground/underwater cable. If you point a telescope at the bright full moon you won't see any sillohuettes of satellites between you and the moon. You won't see satellites in their fake pics of the Earth. Fakery. There is not one single real photo of whole Earth that is not cgi/painting/hollywood effect. Not from any space program in any nation. There is no video of spinning sphere. There is no live stream of the whold Earth. And they have 19 BILLION dollar budget this year alone. WHY???

      +TheMotyl exposure

    • @quadstrike
      @quadstrike 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Conspiracy Smurf google earth isn't from 1 orbit, light exposure is the awnser to the question asked, it's basic photography that you can't get every level of light, even the human eye can't see the stars when you're in the middle of the city for instance. www.space.com/31365-orbiting-epic-camera-snaps-12-whole-earth-images-each-day-video.html
      and here you go, www.ustream.tv/channel/iss-hdev-payload live feed of the earth, as it's live, it can't be up 24/7 since their isn't perfect internet to the ISS all the time.
      have you never seen a satellite in a telescope? lol you should get out more dude, takes 2 seconds with a telescope, pull out an android phone, get satellite AR, and point that direction, hell go somewhere dark and watch the "star like" white dot (which is sunlight reflecting off it) move now tell me how that's ground based? it's not a plane, you can cross-reference flight paths
      learn a bit of CGI, the really saddest part of all you guys claiming CGI is that you know NOTHING about CGI, i'd love to see someone actually call out stuff with fact. maybe watch a rocket launch, maybe understand actual astronomy instead of just saying what someone who hasn't bothered to google AGAINST what your preaching.
      i've done my share of digging, and i've seen my share of huge holes in the conspiracies, such as quoting lines someone supposedly wrote in a book they they don't mention the book name or the page, or anything else

    Dear NASA, please turn a camera to space. Wouldn't it be great to watch the moon pass by from up close or see the stars. On earth there is always a haze in the air. Even Sirius is little. Except when it freezes or after a storm.

      See "Hubble Space Telescope" ;) It IS a neat idea, but I suspect it would be difficult to get a "space-side" view from the ISS. It would only work during the darkest part of each orbit, I'd think.

    • @user-ym9wb2mk5e

      Are you serious Futa? Then how can we see stars, even during twilight hours, of stars and planets? If the camera is facing the darkness, the lens would be behind the glare of reflection from the earth.... Surely they have the best camera equipment, I mean, they are NASA and they wouldn't take up a throw away plastic one.
      Take your phone camera and pan from the sun to horizon then to horizontal and see how your pic looks.
