Hi Villiers, thank you so very much for answering my questions, particularly about how to avoid unethical parks & practices. I’m so very grateful for your response and even more grateful that you went into more detail about some of the things to look out for in regards to the treatment of animals and what can result. I don’t think a lot of people realise what happens when you pay to pet/pat a lion cub and I am so very grateful to you for going into detail and educating people. I also now know what to do when I’m ready to plan my trip. Thank you, thank you, thank you. ❤️❤️❤️
Great video, thanks for the information! I hope to be back in Africa from NZ oneday soon, I did a month long journey in late 2018 self drive through Botswana and Nambia and have wanted to get back ever since! we also got to spend time at Nthambo camp for the 2019 new year which was great as well! thanks again!
Just started following your channel. Can't wait to see it evolve. I'm from nz and about to make my third trip to South Africa in December as my wife is from cape town originally. We are doing 8 days in kruger visiting letaba, lower sabie, berg en dal and skukuza. Cant wait so see more of your videos before our trip!
Great vid as always. We love your channel, always fabulous content. Heading to Kruger in 20 sleeps. So looking forward to experiencing Berg en dal for the first time. Can’t wait!! Then Satara and Lower Sabi later in the year.
Hello! New subscriber here! I’ve been following you on instagram to see pictures but I didn’t know you had a channel. I’ve been to South Africa back in 2018 and it was one of the best trips I’ve ever been to. A great experience worth sharing was when I was in Djuma Game Reserve, 3 cheetahs were able to cross the electric fences as they were hunting an impala down. We all went into our cottages and locked the doors! It was a frightening but memorable experience! I hope to be back one day as I trult enjoyed my stay in South Africa! 🇿🇦💕
Thanks for sharing your questions !! Have been in Krugerpark for many times, but never end of April. What are you thinking about this period of the year?
Very informative going to manyeleti ,timbivati and kruger in September, one question I always ask my camps is do they use half covered vehicles or completely open ones? Having experienced both we always go for completely open, in fact chose buffelshoek over honeyguide for this very reason . Why you may ask ? personal preference but the experience of the Bush is so much better and you don't have those annoying uprights when panning a close up animal also had leopards up a tree and the canopy got in the way also overlying birds. but the best reason ? When on a night drive no better way to experience the African night sky the stars and milky way are amazing. Looking forward to you visiting buffelshoek ndzhaka and umlani sometime as that's where we are heading,.
Hi Villiers, Excellent video. covers a wide set of questions all of which are relevant. I enjoy your channel. Thanks. A late question. If I could take only one lens to Masai Mara what would it be?? I use Nikon and my options are 500mm Prime, 70-200 F2.8 w/o TC, 100-400 w/o TC or a new lens not released yet, 200-600mm. I like to travel light. I am more used to Botswana and this would be my first trip to Masai Mara. Thanks
Thanks for all the awesome content. I have Kgalagadi booked for 8 nights in May and looking to hire an equipped 4x4 from CPT. It looks like a lot of the suppliers are already out of vehicles so I was wondering if you could add any names to the below list of suppliers to contact? Also, do you think the companies I have listed are trustworthy (not a scam)? 1) Africamper 2) Avis 3) Britz 4) Berg 4x4 5) Bushlore.
Thanks for all your great video's, they have really been a help for our visit a few months ago in the Kruger and now an upcoming trip next year in the Kgalagadi. We are thinking of continuing on to Etosha after Kgalagadi, have you done any videos on Etosha or any advice that you can offer?
I’m glad to hear that, Anthony. No, I haven’t been to Estosha for years, but what I can say, is that it’s a dry season park - visit between June and October when the waterholes are most active.
Villiers I have a question: I'm going to be spending 4 nights in Sabi Sands in a few days (2 at Idube and 2 at ulusaba.) Leopards have always been my favorites. How good of a chance do you think I have of seeing them? I'm super excited!
Thank you! You’re probably my favorite youtube channel, it’s so incredible to feel like Im actually going on safari, which is something I’ve missed a lot since the pandemic began (I was going to go in december but my trip got cancelled because of covid). Anyway, long story short, thank you so much for making these fun, incredible videos! Please keep it up!
Have u visited imfolozi game reserve amazed by the biodiversity big 5 bar leopard ticked off. Im an aspiring zoologist and im looking to work somewhere africa any place you would recommend? Love the content looking forward to all your future projects
It has been a long time since I was there last, Samuel, but I love Imfolozi! It’s hard to suggest a specific place if you speak of the whole Africa, but I’m sure you’ll find opportunities if you keep persuing your dream 🍀
I'm with you on favourite animal to photograph(in Africa) Villiers. Definitely leopards! Unlike lions for instance, not matter what they are doing even just lying there, leopards are beautiful to photograph. Buffalo's are also the animals I find most difficult, not to photograph, but to photograph and get an interesting shot. Favourite bird in Africa not matter how often I photo them or see other peoples images, Lilac Breasted Rollers. One week till we're back in S.A 😎
Hi villiers i want to do a photographic trip to sabi sands and alslso mashatu sabi sands mainly because id love to see hosana what and where woulld u suggest plus i think u are leading safaris in may and june at nokhoro what would u suggest ?

Thanks A 7 🙏🏻 I would take the 200-600mm, but ideally you want something wider as well. If you take the 70-200 with too, you’ll be set 👍🏻📸
@@TheSafariExpert Thank you that makes sense.

They are the big ones, Vincent. Sorry, you’ll have to Google to find others 🤞🏻🍀
