So Solis is basically IQ on defense with built in ping and can switch to her guns fairly quick. Pretty good character it seems
Switching to her gun fast is part of the scanning action
everything isnt as it always seems my boy
You can ping most things as iq. I don't think holding f or square is gonna make it any faster than shooting your pistol or switching.
@@marleyabd1729 the fast switching is part of the animation. Switching from her primary to secondary is much slower

That's what they meant when they said we want to reach 100 operator in the future so they can keep recycling the old abilities of the operators like this one , basically its just iq 2.0 but in defence
In support of this new op. At least it isn’t a shitty 1 to 1 copy. There are some major pros and cons to each gadgets.
They also have a different look and feel.
I feel like added similar but different versions of old gadgets would be healthy for the game.
Better than ubi adding out of touch futuristic space gadgets.
But I would like to see iq get a smg sidearm.

The game would then go to dogs because Jäger's videos are just compilations of the most upvoted stuff on reddit, majority of which are badly thought and biased changes. NEVER use the community as a reference for a game. The community doesn't have the data that is needed to run the game.
@@arjun._.bbC6 while you make a good point, the community plays the game more than the devs. Several other dev companies have whole departments where they pay people to watch yt vids and stuff and report back. Some community member have just as much if not more than the devs. For example, BHVR, Dead By Daylight, and Otzdarva. TLDR: Dont listen to the community, but dont discount them either.
@@calebquinn256 nobody is discounting them, but giving the community undue importance and putting them on a pedestal and prioritising them over data is a horrible way to develop a competitive shooter.
Uni doesn't need to watch videos to improve the game. They're doing it as we speak, just not to the fictional satisfaction of the community, no surprise in that. The community has a horrible track record of consistency in its demands. Been here for 5 years. I speak from first-hand experience.
solis is good and all but i cant sleep at nights thinking about Sledge becoming a 3 armor 1 speed
Lmfao 3 armors are not popular on attack so they gonna make majority of them 3 armors and one speeds

If it were fast to detect it could be useful but it's very slow and doesn't make sense to scan something that you know you can't counter in most cases
I can imagine him being used like Pulse but more friendly for teammates. Plant situation could be handy too
@@SimplyDroog Solis and Bandi/Kaid could be decent, but only against poor coordinated teams, for example, imagine Solis see's Hibana pull out her gadget, before she can even shoot, the pellets, Solis can tell Bandit or Kaid to place their utility down in preemptive to destroy the hard breach quicker. It could also be great against thermite's that try to bait their thermite charge.
It's great against jackal, now you know where to expect him. Will give jackal a higher skill floor since he can't just ping people without repercussions.
@@solace8622 I think he will have a decently high skill floor to get good use out and his secondary gadget could change his use for solo q. For example a C4 would be a game changer for him. Impact would be nice if you want him to use against Jackal as a Jackhunter/countre. A lot of variables but I like him as a concept.
Ur ignorant this op is gonna be a hell of a roamer especially bc she can see phones in hands of attackers while droning FROM BELOW WITH A SHOTGUN+ finding drones already hidden the info + info denial of this op is gonna be crazy not to mention the other ways to play her maybe like a bandit tricker or kaid trick bc u can see if ace or hib is bout to throw/shoot their gadget or where therm is walking up to place his charge etc etc
In my plastic 6 rank I'm certain she'll be awesome. Fuze playing vertical is a big pain and I see her taking care of it ez.

So I guess the better way to play her is with a team so you don't have to use your red ping and could use the ability for longer, I like this ability, it makes bandit tricking way easier

Who cares if it's IQ on defense, everything's different between operators when it comes to attack and defense. But hey if you know better, feel free to tell me your ideal balanced operator that you want in siege that offers a unique ability that is balanced.

@@eltacobandito gridlock? nomad? they work like how smoke does on attack, by forcing enemies not to peak or push out of a doorway. If you had a exact smoke ability on attack, that would be unbalanced, since they can smoke all doorways to site and get a free plant every time.

We haven't even seen proper casual or ranked gameplay of her and you're saying she's weak? she can see any operator gadget through walls, and secondary utility, just wait until you see a grenade being held through walls, that piece of information could save you or your teammates life a ton

Honestly not sure how to feel about this operator. Might be useful for kaid and bandit tricking, but all you really need for that is a pair of headphones and some ears. Might be okay for flanking. Other than that it seems a little too niche for my liking. Obviously I can't say too much because I can't play it yet

solis is basically free wall hacks or whatever the new lion is basically. being able to ping a character who isn’t doing anything through a wall is literally pulse.

People underestimate the potential, bandit won’t have to guess in order to bandit trick anymore

Its a 7 year old game, believe it or not when there are 60+ operators its difficult to make everyone 100% original. I've been wanting a operator like this for years. Also I can see an operator like this being extremely good. This isn't a warden scenario where they are obviously out of ideas. Also it has many differences like how its on a timer, or how it shows over the whole screen, or how it shows an icon over it instead of an outline, or that you can't have your weapon out when its active or that its you know ON DEFENSE. While I think most criticism is warranted for R6 complaining about an operator being some what similar to another in a 7+ year old game that you can buy for almost 5 dollars is flat out idiotic.

Ok here is my question:
When she uses her scans, does her battery recharge and can be used for maximum time again when it recharges or is it a set battery limit and once it dies, you can no longer scan?
You can see by the first and second footage. If the info is no mistaken there should have 2 gauge which is the Cool-down and the Battery
Once scanned once, the gadget will goes Cool-down state and Battery will drain to 0, and slowly recharge while Cool-down, And the Battery drain while you Activating the gadget.
You can recognise the Battery as the Usable Timer before the device goes off or Scanned an Gadget.

Look at positives and negatives;
IQ - 1. Larger range with scan 2. Has weapon available 3. Has infinite usage time with scan
Solis - Smaller range with scan 2. No weapon available while scanning 3. Has limited time with scan
But you want to buff IQ? How would you even do that anyway? Only way to buff IQ is to make her gun have better TTK, but that would defeat the purpose of gathering information on utility if she could just frag out like ash.

That's to make her balanced. She's gonna be used best as a team support, denying any gadgets on sight. But even still, her gadget is gonna be over powered. If you're a good enough player you could make her work solo too, for doing run outs, and what not. If they have her the ability to use weapons while using her ability, people would be using her for the wrong purpose.

I find it unfair she has to unequip her gadget to see an attacker's gadget. consider iq could probably see Solis using her gadget while active and could possibly eliminate her I feel like Solis should have somewhat equal edge to her direct counter

Buff IQ so she can also ping all items she sees but it has the same amount of charges
You can already ping items through walls and it seems the new op can't shoot while scanning where IQ can shoot her pistol

@@JakeInTheUK IQ's job is to break utility herself, if there is utility a teammate cannot see, and only they can break it, that's when IQ is directly helpful, but also she won't need to ping 5 things for a single teammate, there's just not that much utility for one person or small team of people that they clearly cannot see.
Also people need to be aware of IQ's pings, and remember where utility is, she ain't there to ping the same utility over and over again for 3 minutes.
So you see we created this op in mind bc we lost all hope in actually using our brains to create something actually useful
I'm not going to lie this looks mad useless in most situations like oh look I can put away my gun and see enemy gadgets lol
