That old visitor's center building is impressive. It's sad that they used it just for storage for so many years, but promising that they are bringing it back for some better use now. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Next time you visit Hartwick, ask about the primitive group camping area across the road from the original visitors building. I believe it's maintained by Hartwick. Also there is Jones lake state Forest campground about 15 minutes north east of Hartwick. Its a beautiful primitive campground, very quite and nice smaller clear clean lake. Great for boondocking. Been camping there for years.
We've stayed at Jones Lake before. So many great state forest campgrounds in Michigan, too. Maybe that's another project. 😮 We really enjoy rustic camping and boondocking, so we often seek out the more primitive spots. Thanks for watching and commenting! -Ari
Nice video
My favorite state park!!
There are a lot of options for things to do there -- it's a favorite of ours, too. Thanks for watching and commenting!
You guys always have all the info. Very informative. That is a stunning building.

This looks like a great place. Have to visit it at some point. Really great video, Ari & Jessi! Also can’t wait to see your camp KYD video too. 🙂
Thanks, Dean! This is a fun park for a lot of different reasons. And the Camp KYD video should be available this weekend. 🙂
