The kick determining the angle/inversion of the gumbi really clicked for me thank you! I was so confused how to determine the half eight the gumbi and be able to move whichever angle I wanted
This is a fantastically edited produced video - keep up the good work! I came across it trying to find tips for the Au de Coluna in Capoeira, and it's perfect!
I'm just starting and trying to work out what side to learn things on: I cartwheel with right hand down first, so I need to learn this with left hand down first? But on the trampoline I spin to the left during flips, so for tricking, eg. a cork, I would need to swing through with my right leg to spin left(?), but in your new touch-down raiz tutorial it looks like you do the combo as lefthand cartwheel, righthand touch-down raiz, back full spinning left with right leg swinging through... so should I relearn cartwheels on the other side?
Thank you! This move is so confusing to me! Also for some reason ive never seen the relation of a gumbi to a raiz until this video because you just broke it down so nicely
do i have to have a great flexibility in my back for gumbi ? would be great if u gave me some advices i wanted to use it to learn td raiz Edited : I love your vids thoroughly explaining every trick in every tutorials =)
I started to do TDR first and did ok with it.Later i decided stop that and start with the gumbi and build to TDR.I did gumbi for days and one day i tried to do TDR again and i could not do it anymore.i got confused and crashed on the ground???
One of my favorite tricks. Once again you helped me a lot, I wished to do the more vertical Gumbi, but never knew how to do it, you saved me :)) Thank you a lot I hope you will be at Hooked ^^
You reading in my mind lol. I had a problem, that i just started tricking like 3 months ago and i learned the raiz to my wrong side, and now i have to relearn it to my left side and i just can't do it lo. So i wanted to start train gumbies, after raiz, and after tdraiz. So i must say thank you!
Thanks dude. I didn't like gumbi before I watched this video, and now I will try to learn it. But what is beter, master scoot or gumbi ? Witch one should I work more ?
I agree yo but I. dont like making clickbait! I really rely on shares from those who watch me. Thankfully though while I dont have a large following, it is full of amazing hard working trickers who wanna get better!
I'm a beginner trying to get into tricking. I prefer to spin to the right, however It feels natural to kick with my right leg... which doesn't work for right side spinning. What do you recommend me to do, change spin direction or try to get used to kicking with the left leg? (I havn't learned any tricks so I'm asking this before I start practicing)
Nice man, I always liked this progression chain, it's like you wouldn't do an aerial without learning a cartwheel. What's the background song? It's real nice
damn you I 'invented' the cartwheel carry thru gumbi by/ for myself as I had never seen it and now I understand it's just a common practice technique lol
I'm an experienced tumbler and can't figure this skill out. When I do opposite side I can do it perfectly but when I do it the other way so I can swing it I dont arch, my split closes and I have no power. Any tips to fix it?
If someone isnt flexible they struggle a lot with gumbi but it is so important fro progression to have that baseline. I struggled with gumbi too but I think it is the safest to learn so I place it first in my curriculum but its up to the athlete to decide their own progression
Diggin the studio ghibli jazz mix eyyy
Eyyyy thanks! I love it too
yooo one of the best mixes of this song. song ID?
Man, you really know what you're talking about. Love it. Subbed :)
Thank you! I've done 8 years of TKD, 5 years tricking, and a lifetime of gymnastics knowledge to work with :) and i like teaching which helps a ton
The kick determining the angle/inversion of the gumbi really clicked for me thank you! I was so confused how to determine the half eight the gumbi and be able to move whichever angle I wanted
Thanks for the tips, hand positioning on the ground is an important one, no one else online has pointed that out!
This is a fantastically edited produced video - keep up the good work! I came across it trying to find tips for the Au de Coluna in Capoeira, and it's perfect!
Gracias jeje
beautiful technique! thank you!

Thank you so much man! I think it is easiest to learn when your focused and relaxed
Thank you! This move is so confusing to me! Also for some reason ive never seen the relation of a gumbi to a raiz until this video because you just broke it down so nicely

Can you make a valdez tutorial ? I'm in trouble with that
if you learn to tdr, you know how to valdez
Haha valdez has been suggested a bunch! definitely gonna get to it at some point! its on the list
Yu-Gi-Oh Jaden Yuki valdez is really a one handed back handspring that’s all you need to learn
I'm loving these Brendan! I appreciate everything you've been doing lately. It means alot
Thank you! others watching and learning is the reason I'm so motivated to make them
Quality skill breakdown and progressions, I subbed! Thanks!

same here
lol same here I learned raiz on my off side first too... the struggle is real
Thanks dude. I didn't like gumbi before I watched this video, and now I will try to learn it. But what is beter, master scoot or gumbi ? Witch one should I work more ?
Both.
It is personal preference. I dont think one is harder than the other just different
These tutorials are amazing!
Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!! Youre the man!
Such an underated TH-camr
I agree yo but I. dont like making clickbait! I really rely on shares from those who watch me. Thankfully though while I dont have a large following, it is full of amazing hard working trickers who wanna get better!
I could do td/raize but never a gumbi thank you sm!!
Thank you for watching!
Wow so clean, I've been trying to figure this move out and just can't seem to get it. Thanx for an awesome resource!

Change Kicking side.... Way easier
Nice man, I always liked this progression chain, it's like you wouldn't do an aerial without learning a cartwheel. What's the background song? It's real nice
It is a lofi remix of studio Ghibli songs! hella relaxing and good to train to
Yesss
Eyyy Spirited Away
damn you I 'invented' the cartwheel carry thru gumbi by/ for myself as I had never seen it and now I understand it's just a common practice technique lol
What’s the song? Please put song titles in the description of the TH-cam videos:)
keep making tutorials bro bc you have some awesome videos
Will do!
Dude this is so thorough, please don’t stop making videos 🙌🏼

Gumbi 👉Raiz 👉 touchdownraiz ??
Whats the instrumental from 2:50-3:50
It is a studio ghibli lofi hiphop mix here is the link to the full track! th-cam.com/video/4he2h5o3WQs/w-d-xo.html
I'm an experienced tumbler and can't figure this skill out. When I do opposite side I can do it perfectly but when I do it the other way so I can swing it I dont arch, my split closes and I have no power. Any tips to fix it?
It sounds like a flexibility issue. I'd recommend working your bridge and splits! best of luck!
I can do a perfect td raiz but can't gumbi and raiz is pretty bad. ;D
this is nice! I've been struggling with bitchy gumbi since December. No one never told me about the kick back. Will do!!!
lol Ive never heard a move being called "bitchy" XD
I've always found gumbi the hardest of the raiz progression. Felt that it always would come last naturally
If someone isnt flexible they struggle a lot with gumbi but it is so important fro progression to have that baseline. I struggled with gumbi too but I think it is the safest to learn so I place it first in my curriculum but its up to the athlete to decide their own progression
I went from listening to the exact ghibli remix to this video, what are the odds
Those backround tunes are so relaxing, What are they called? (also, my gumbis are getting much better off this video alone) Thanks!
I use lofi hip hop remixes!
You very cool!!!
Thank you so much!
intro song?
Blackmist48 Nujabes- sky is falling featuring cl smooth
👍
Awesome video man. For the link in your description, you might want to add the beginning www. so that it's clickable :)
I seriously think that somebody has to come to me in person to learn this
Awe yeah, I'm bout to soak this in like a sponge.
AWWWW yeah
How to fei long
I love you♥
omg i learnt the TD raiz without Gumbi, whyyyyy
Haha Most people do! gumbi is super hard and requires flexible shoulders. haha I understand the struggle
I can do a perfectly clean TDraiz but a gumbi is not in my range of skills haha
Haha I understand the struggle most people learn the same way XD
I always thought raiz was a progression to TD raiz not the other way around. Guess i was wrong
Mohawk Martial Arts & PK that's what I always heard I guess it just depends
Its kind of a choice I usually recommend gumbi to raiz but Its a choice of the athlete to decide the progression that works best for them
It looks so easy but I just don’t get it. Like I can already do a sailor moon. I think I’ll just skip gumbi.
march attack Get the macaco and then its pretty easy.
It is just a macaco with a cartwheel
