You guys really do need to know her story. At 4 years old she contracted double pneumonia and her kidneys failed. She spent aa fortnight on total life support and 80 days in intensive care, then 18 months on dialysis. Eventually her life was saved when they managed to match her mothers kidneys with hers and she had a kidney from her Mum (who she calls her hero). Within a month of leaving hospital she was singing at a function to raise money for the hospital. She is not just a wonderful singer, she is also a miracle.of medical skill (and your god if you believe in god).
I read somewhere that she sang that song for her mom for giving her life twice, once for giving birth to her and again giving her a kidney which saved her life. She says she only sings songs that have meaning and that mean something to her. I was disappointed to see comments from people saying that song was not powerful enough for her. This gives special meaning to her song choice "Without You". Without her mom's gift, Angelica would still be on dialysis and unable to travel and pursue her dreams. On 9/13/2017, the 4th anniversary of her kidney transplant, Angelica was put through to the Finals on AGT. She puts so much thought and purpose into her song choices. America's Got Talent allows 10 votes per voting method so it is not cheating to vote multiple times. I even use my husband's phone. You know how it is, what's mine is mine and what's his is mine. After more than 44 yrs of marriage he is well aware of this (LOL).
