Yes.. once again, it's been a while since I uploaded.. But I'm back with a Metal Detecting video!
In this video, we went to different locations to search for relics from WW2. During our search, we came across some interesting little things, including relics that date back to a period way before the second world war!
Long story short.. we found some cool things, but the last find was the best!

I had a grandfather who was a combat engineer in ww2, he mostly travelled with Armored units to help clear obstacles and mine fields, my grandfather (on my father's side) was a Marine in ww2, his brothers were in the Navy and Army, his youngest sibling enlisted in Army in 1949, though didn't get to serve in Europe because he wasn't old enough -- he served in Korea. Though I think the coolest thing about my family history in ww2 is that my great-uncle was an MP at the Nuremburg trials and prevented a n@zi from offing himself before his trial.
(I have a VERY large family history with the US Military)

That knife you found, I have my Uncle Robert Novak’s knife from World War II, he was it Italy and Germany. The Staff sergeants were given a knife rather than a bayonet because their M-1 Carbine didn’t have a bayonet attachment.

Great upload! I really enjoy your channel. I found a K-98 on the outskirts of Bastogne in 1986 while on a metal detecting trip when I was stationed in Germany. Hooked ever since.

My Great grandfather was in the First Infantry Division or also known as the “Big Red 1” and he did not talk about his experience but he was deployed in Germany but I am unsure where in Germany he brought back some Nazi relics A Nazi Flag A Nazi knife A Iron Cross 1st or second class and some more medals, he past away in the 1990s, he had very bad PTSD from his experience.
Wow, that's very interesting!! What are coincidence too! The location where I found this knife, was also a position of the Big Red 1! I might have been inside his foxhole.. you never know!
Awesome that he was able to bring souvenirs back!
Very sad he suffered from PTSD though..
He was a real hero!
@@History-SecretsYeah he was nice but I never got to meet him sadly but we believe my grandfather’s brother has some of the bring backs but he may have lost it during a hurricane his house flooded but he was ok. I do have some photos of him deployed in Germany very cool ones you can see The Big Red One patch on his uniform it’s a Ike jacket. If you want I can post a TH-cam video and you can see the photos as well as my collection.
My uncle was killed by Nazis in France but he got a couple before they got him he was kia July 1944 he was 20

I started collecting in 2021 and I have recently bought a original German m36 greatcoat for £400 and it’s dated 1940 and in really really good condition

I'm pretty sure that knife you found is from Fagan manefacture. That's awesome because i have an original intact one and it looks very close to the one you've got!

M1 Garand played a major role in WW2 ..!!
30 / 06 still this day a very popular round for hunting... Majority Wermarcht used the K98 bolt action while M1 semiauto which gave Americans firepower superiority in firefights

I remember when i went to Czech Republic and i found a coin laying there on the floor i thought it was just modern currency but then i noticed it was a soviet coin from 1946.
At least you have good weather there to do a video. In America where I'm at it's week 3 of rain and bad thunderstorms!
