I thought I am the only one who loves Silverstar. Usually everybody gives it hate because they say it has a rattle and no airtime. But I never noticed any rattle but the massive amount of floater airtime. Maybe it is because I usually visit EP in the winter. It might be possible that it runs better in winter with different wheels on.
Must be it i always went in the summer and its not the rattle thats a problem from me but that it just one boring coaster that is a waste of space. Don't get me wrong its better then a kiddy coaster or any wildmouse i know but this thing doesn't come even close to being me favorite its rapidly moving back in me top 100 list with every seazone and i don't think it will be in there within 2 years. Well i might trie it in the winter if i'm ever around there i might change me mind.
Lol are you insane ith has been the main attraction with the longest lines since it opened, everyone loves it :D Have ridden it about 20-30 times since it opened, never had any issues with any rattle.
Just been recently, I thought it had a rattle at the bottom of the first drop but after that it was incredibly smooth. The airtime was incredible, very good coaster
Europa Park looks like it might be my favorite park if I visited it. I love how it has good dark rides, good coasters, and cool other rides like the bumper cars you showed. It's interesting to hear that you like Silver Star, because I have heard people call it one of the weaker B&M hypers in the past.
Really enjoyeble list. I reasently uploaded a top 20 rides here. Other and that, I haven't seen any enthusiasts making more than a top 10 for this park. It deserves more than that, so good to see! I was really suprised Alpenexpress wasnt on here. I think thats a beautiful ride, soecially the indoor section!
And I love the way three different rides/exhibits all intersect in the one highly themed interior space, if you know what I mean (the powered coaster, the log ride, and the walk-through mine ride).
Europa Park is a fantastic park, I went for the first time last Summer and have now been 4 times...! Still not done all the dark rides on this list either but might give a few more a try next time. I love Piraten in Batavia, the little otter guy is just the best, cant believe they don't do a plushie of him. Bit surprised you have Blue Fire above Wodan to be fair, I prefer the hectic nature of Wodan over the relatively mild Blue Fire. Great to see an American giving Silver Star some love though as lots of people people seem to crap on it, but I think its awesome 😁
I was stationed in Germany two separate times and went to Europa Park as much as I could. Beautiful park with some great coasters. The park layout is definitely Disney-inspired. I mean, the first thing you see coming into the parking lot is…a mouse. 🤣

Easily my favorite park in the world! I love this place and its rides. I got to ride all 13 coasters, but only two other rides (Fjord Rafting and Vindjammer). I really don't think this place has a bad coaster. My personal favorite is Wodan, followed by Silver Star, Blue Fire, CanCan and Arthur

So beautiful, welldoing feelings. 💕🤗👍 The park is so beautiful, fascinating buildet with so many european countries, with hearts for each details, very nice people, working there and many stalls with food and drinks. Around beautiful nature. Best idea and well done, create this park. First time, we' ve visit this park 1988.... . It' was beautiful, but only few countries. Now, it is amazing. Great! Wonderful. I am visiting for the first time in 2 days and would like to know if Swiss bob run is a good idea to try. I have never done any ride based on a bobsled other then one alpine slide in Switzerland.
BGW is our Europa-Park, except it really needs to get some dark rides again. I love BGW but the lack of dark rides is disappointing. And it's a crime that DarKastle closed. Europa-Park is almost on the level of Disneyland in Anaheim when it comes to dark rides and that's really saying something.
It seems like in the US, theme parks tend to be sharply divided into thrill parks with a lot of coasters, and theming/dark-ride parks. The closest thing to an operator with a good balance might be Universal, and even Universal is more on the theming side of the divide. But in Europe, especially in Germany and the Netherlands, it seems there's less of a division--you have parks like this one that go big on both.

I absolutely love Europa Park. Piraten in Batavia is my favourite ride, though I love Wodan also. I'm not sure why Silver Star is so underrated by most people. It has great airtime, and thanks to the fast operations you only need to wait twenty minutes or so.
I must have been unluckey then shortege one i got was 45 minutes and i don't think its good enough to wait that long for it. Now a 20 minute wait might be exceptable. But yeah i love pirates and wodan to and the operations are really excellent throughout the park.
@@CanobieCoaster I visited in early October this year and it didn't feel trimmed at all. It does seem to be complete luck whether they're turned on or not!

In summertime I never feel the trims - although as it ONLY has airtime it is not my favorite ride and I only go if it's less than 15 minutes, if at all - so in summer maybe once during the general lunch valley. As I walked on 3 times last week I felt every trim every single time with the airtime being about the same as in summer, so it seems to be a fixed speed....

I know the feeling! I’ve had phases in my life when I wasn’t so plugged-in as an active coaster enthusiast, and looking back I missed some amazing opportunities. That’s life, I suppose.
I like dark rides, and coasters but damn the lineup at this park is like 80 % dark rides/walk throughs/theaters of some sort. I understand it's a theme park but I feel like there is an over saturation of similar rides.
i get what you mean but there is some more roller coasters that he didnt put into his top 25. And they also have lots of shows and other smaller attractions. Also it will get another major thrill coaster in 2023 :)
Well imo there is a lack of coasters, but the darkrides feel everything but repetitive, and i've been there like 20 times now But i miss the old Euro sat theming, it was legendary
Sorry if I say that but it is sometimes funny as German how you pronounce some of the rides. But I have to admit as a non German words like "Schlittenfahrt Schneeflöcken" and "Madame Freudenreich" is not easy. However some of them you did really perfect (such as "Fluch der Kassandra") ;) I know Europa Park now 35 years and I visited the park every year (I think should be over 200 visits in total). To the ranking: well done! And I would agree with many things. I have exactly the same Top. I am surprised that you put in "Schlittenfahrt Schneeflöckchen" in it. Many people do not like this darkride but I do like it and would put it in a similar place. Me personally I would also put following rides in to the Top 25: "Jim Knopf Reise durchs Lummerland" , "Dschungel Floßfahrt" and Alpenexpress (no good coaster but great theming) And I would not rank following so high in the ranking: Euro Mir (too rough) and Atlantica Supersplash (for me kind of boring), EuroSAT (for me the old one was way better in theming). And I would put Snorri Touren higher ;)
Before Europa Park, Cedar Point won the Golden Ticket Award for best amusement park in the world for a few years. I've asked people which of the two they prefer the most so why do you prefer Cedar Point over Europa Park in your case.

I have no clue what to expect from Silver Star now.. Taylor from Coaster Studios says it's a weaker hyper while you're saying it's one of B&M's best ones. Not sure how it'll rank up but this park is high on my list when I eventually get to Europe.
I think it comes down to if the trims hit. They didn't on a cooler day in 2017 and they didn't either on a warm summer day in 2021. I know the coaster was notorious for being overtrimmed for a long time.
Incredible nice park and i agree with most of your descibtions though i havn'rt done al the darkrides yet. It always has been super busy when i went there. Musta visit the park off seisone sometime. The only thing i don't agree with you is youre number one. Alle the times i've ridden this coaster wich i admit is less then it should be i found it one big dissapoinment. I rather ride a decently maintained SLC then this thing at least an slc gives you some fun with the pain.

This place I in my opinion a little to much "Mack Heaven". I would love to see some more of other stuff here Luke they did with Silver Star. Overall, more thrill rides mainly I'm the coaster category. But this is a very well rounded place for Germany.
I'm seriously surprised Disney didn't sue them over all the obvious knock offs (Disney loves to sue people) so I'm curious as to how this park got around it? Maybe Disney has shares in the park?
There is a village right next to the park and residents are already complaining about the noise level (for example, silver star has a noise barrier on the first drop). Sadly they probably wont build a high coaster in the future there.

It is located in the area of Germany with the least rain and the highest temperatures. We have been there last week and had 30 degrees ans bricht sunshine in October😉
@@arturobianco848 In contrast to the highly constrained spaces of Phantasialand, Europapark has approved areas about the same size as the current park. Space isn't the problem. The problem is more and more the distances you have to cover and are more or less forced to walk as all 3 people movers have more or less the same stations in mostly inadequate places of the park. Especially the EP-Express could need another one near Iceland...
@@sethanix3969 Im used to the efteling so moving around on foot isn't that big a deal for me. i don't think Europapark is that much bigger in size so they could easily open up al least one earia. But ypu have a good point they might just need to rebuild some of their movers.

Far worse than EuropaPark, which is sad - because the overall package of Efteling felt really, really great...
At least in 2008, the pirates ride was no where near pirates of the Caribbean ride. Disney's ride is simply the best of its kind, and inspired my favorite movie series of all time(only 1-3, the newer ones are terrible)

I love this park. It's such a great place just to walk round. Even when you don't like rides.

It's one of the best parks. Silver Star has barely been trimmed when I ride it. Others have had severely trimmed rides.

Just lean forwards and it's fine. It can be bumpy if you sit all the way back.

I would like to see review videos about your thoughts on Mack wild mouse coasters like Matterhorn Blitz at Europa Park, Fly at Canada's Wonderland, Ricochet at Carowinds, Apple Zapple at Kings Dominion, which also used to be Ricochet, Sand Serpent at Busch Gardens Tampa, which was closed and removed in 2023, etc. I tell you that because there is one installation with a restraint modification. But I don't mind that so I recommend you trying all them again.
I'll make reviews about some mice in the future.
Cool video! I've been in the park in 2002. Silver Star is definitely the coolest ride there.
I didn't know they had a drop tower at one point.

Didn't it used to be a...tribute(?) to Universe of Energy? Some of the dino poses are very similar. The update was delightfully bizarre. And to think I almost skipped it because I thought it was a store

I keep kicking myself for never visiting Europa-Park while I studied in Freiburg back in 2014. I'm definitely planning on revisiting Freiburg at some point so I'll naturally spend a day or two in Europa-Park, but God only knows when that'll be...
I know the feeling! I’ve had phases in my life when I wasn’t so plugged-in as an active coaster enthusiast, and looking back I missed some amazing opportunities. That’s life, I suppose.

Wow silver star at 1. It's really the rollercoaster that made me not so scared of tall coasters anymore.
It ran great for me this past year with barely any trimming.

I like dark rides, and coasters but damn the lineup at this park is like 80 % dark rides/walk throughs/theaters of some sort. I understand it's a theme park but I feel like there is an over saturation of similar rides.
i get what you mean but there is some more roller coasters that he didnt put into his top 25. And they also have lots of shows and other smaller attractions. Also it will get another major thrill coaster in 2023 :)
Well imo there is a lack of coasters, but the darkrides feel everything but repetitive, and i've been there like 20 times now
But i miss the old Euro sat theming, it was legendary

Sorry if I say that but it is sometimes funny as German how you pronounce some of the rides. But I have to admit as a non German words like "Schlittenfahrt Schneeflöcken" and "Madame Freudenreich" is not easy. However some of them you did really perfect (such as "Fluch der Kassandra") ;)
I know Europa Park now 35 years and I visited the park every year (I think should be over 200 visits in total).
To the ranking: well done! And I would agree with many things. I have exactly the same Top.
I am surprised that you put in "Schlittenfahrt Schneeflöckchen" in it. Many people do not like this darkride but I do like it and would put it in a similar place.
Me personally I would also put following rides in to the Top 25: "Jim Knopf Reise durchs Lummerland" , "Dschungel Floßfahrt" and Alpenexpress (no good coaster but great theming)
And I would not rank following so high in the ranking: Euro Mir (too rough) and Atlantica Supersplash (for me kind of boring), EuroSAT (for me the old one was way better in theming).
And I would put Snorri Touren higher ;)
I try my best with the German words. I enjoy the quaintness of Schlittenfahrt Schneeflockchen.

Before Europa Park, Cedar Point won the Golden Ticket Award for best amusement park in the world for a few years. I've asked people which of the two they prefer the most so why do you prefer Cedar Point over Europa Park in your case.
After revisiting, I prefer Europa. Great rides, amazing theming, and superior operations.
They retracked a little bit of Poseidon and I wonder if that means they'll do more bits each winter season? Nice video :)

Both are amazing. Europa has more, but Phantasialand has the higher quality for its size.

I have no clue what to expect from Silver Star now.. Taylor from Coaster Studios says it's a weaker hyper while you're saying it's one of B&M's best ones. Not sure how it'll rank up but this park is high on my list when I eventually get to Europe.
I think it comes down to if the trims hit. They didn't on a cooler day in 2017 and they didn't either on a warm summer day in 2021. I know the coaster was notorious for being overtrimmed for a long time.

Incredible nice park and i agree with most of your descibtions though i havn'rt done al the darkrides yet. It always has been super busy when i went there. Musta visit the park off seisone sometime. The only thing i don't agree with you is youre number one. Alle the times i've ridden this coaster wich i admit is less then it should be i found it one big dissapoinment. I rather ride a decently maintained SLC then this thing at least an slc gives you some fun with the pain.
I visited in the summer this past year and had no trouble riding everything thanks to their efficient operations and free fastpass system.

This place I in my opinion a little to much "Mack Heaven". I would love to see some more of other stuff here Luke they did with Silver Star. Overall, more thrill rides mainly I'm the coaster category. But this is a very well rounded place for Germany.
You are aware that Mack Rides literally owns the place right? But I agree, Europa Park needs another high thrill ride, possibly from another company

Can you do europa park in one day?
I think you want at least 2 days, but it is possible to do most major rides in a day if you use the virtual queues wisely and get there early.

It's a family park and there is a village nearby so i don't see this happening sadly
There is a village right next to the park and residents are already complaining about the noise level (for example, silver star has a noise barrier on the first drop). Sadly they probably wont build a high coaster in the future there.

It is located in the area of Germany with the least rain and the highest temperatures. We have been there last week and had 30 degrees ans bricht sunshine in October😉

@@arturobianco848 In contrast to the highly constrained spaces of Phantasialand, Europapark has approved areas about the same size as the current park. Space isn't the problem. The problem is more and more the distances you have to cover and are more or less forced to walk as all 3 people movers have more or less the same stations in mostly inadequate places of the park. Especially the EP-Express could need another one near Iceland...
@@sethanix3969 Im used to the efteling so moving around on foot isn't that big a deal for me. i don't think Europapark is that much bigger in size so they could easily open up al least one earia.
But ypu have a good point they might just need to rebuild some of their movers.
@@arturobianco848 De Efteling is bigger in area than the current EuropaPark - and it was my only real negative point about it. Everything is far to far apart with no real means of transport. Far worse than EuropaPark, which is sad - because the overall package of Efteling felt really, really great...
At least in 2008, the pirates ride was no where near pirates of the Caribbean ride. Disney's ride is simply the best of its kind, and inspired my favorite movie series of all time(only 1-3, the newer ones are terrible)

Rhyme something with Jack, or black, or rack and so on.... and that's how you pronounce Mack. I know a few coaster needs around here yeas ago started saying it like "Mach" or Mauch", with that typical nerd arrogance acting as if they know something nobody else knows.... and yet they were wrong. I've explained how I do know for sure billions of times. And trust me, it is M-A-C-K. Just like the Mack Daddy. Or the Daddy Mack. Jump jump. (Last part Ptobably way over the heads of all the millennials around here)
