One of my favorite tracks from Phil's solo repertoire. This should've been a much bigger hit when he released it back in 1983. One of the best drum grooves I've ever heard, both in the studio when he laid it down, and live when Chester Thompson adds his signature on it. And the way he integrated horns into his songs was pure genius. Very underrated song.
Chester is so underrated, I'm a drummer too, he really has some "in-between's" you hear that brother? I don't remember this song and I'm 56! I was 17 when this came out. I was pretty close minded back then to mostly only listening to heavy rock and metal that's why I guess.
In 83, Phil😎 couldn't believe that in the future his solo and band songs would be listened to by so many people, but time has shown that it's true that so many fans like Phil 😎and his music.
In this year he produced, arranged and played on Frida's (ABBA) Debut "Something going on", recorded 'Hello I must be going" did a Genesis Tour in the Summer, including a Reunion with Peter Gabriel in October. He played Drums on Robert Plant's first Solo Recording and finally went on Tour with his own marvellous Band here. Can you imagine he was "just a Drummer" a few years before?..... Genius! And one thing I have to add..especially Phil, Chester and Daryl...musicians who Play "supper's ready' and just weeks later a funky tune like this can play EVERYTHING ❤
Hands down, my favorite live show by Phil! His voice was perfection and the band, especially the horn section, was fantastic!! Just wish there could be a remastered Hi-Res video and audio release.
Phil Collins is one of the geniuses in music and film but his music has gripped me since I was about 8or9years old as I had a sister who was 5years older and I have a brother who is 7years older, so I was blessed growing up with the sort of good music that was about then, and still today my sister who has passed away now always played "follow you follow me, and everytime I hear it I feel it's a message from her and dear lord that makes me feel good. Will anyone give me an AMEN for my sister please 💜☀️🙏👍🏻

Amazing song that I used to hear when I was in the kindergarten at my 4 years old. The school director was a genesis fan. Because of him I learned how to appreciate good melodies like this one. "I cannot believe it's true", "Home by the sea" and "One more night" are my favorite of all time from Phil. "Take a look at me now" describes mama and dad... "Separate lives" thought me two things: Listen than speak. Amazing song that I used to hear when I was in the kindergarten at my 4 years old. The school director was a genesis fan. Because of him I learned how to appreciate good melodies like this one. "I cannot believe it's true", "Home by the sea" and "One more night" are my favorite of all time from Phil. "Take a look at me now" describes mama and dad... "Separate lives" thought me two things: Listen than speak. Phil Collins has being present in my life since I was 4... and what a wonderful artist👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I thank you so so very much for your work life 👍🏼👍🏼
