The most interesting moment in this episode for me is when Goldie falls into the lava. That whole scene afterward with Glomgold is this really fascinating shift where his character briefly feels less like a complete joke and more like an *actual* unhinged psychopath. It’s this part of the character that I think is always under the surface of all the gags, but pops up for the first time explicitly here.
@@luckiestplant Psychopathy and psychosis are two VERY different things. Psychopathy is a personality type and psychosis is a mental disorder. YOU are the one being harmful by equating the two.

Ryodraco right, but that decision isn’t played with as much drama in-story as the Goldie scene is. I also think what I’m talking about lies a lot in Craig Ferguson’s performance.

7:07 Wait to read their relationship in the comic (insert Lenny face here 'cause I can't make it and I'm too lazy to copy from another site but not enough to write this sentence down, sue me) PS: Yes, that Lenny face is alluding to what you actually thinking. For REAL. IN A DISNEY COMIC. Don't belive me? Read "The prisoner of White Agony Creek" (and, since you're at it, read "Back to the Klondike" and "The Argonaut Of White Agony Creek" first and "Hearts of the Yukon" after reading "Prisoner") and then we can discuss of this later.
@@justhere5895 Well, I need a little backstory on this: a young Scrooge reaches the Klondike and a swindler named Soapy Slick humilates him after capturing him and reading his mother letters (one of which even said she passed away). Furious, Scrooge destroy his entire barge and take him to jail. Some days after, Scrooge finds a big gold nugget, big as a Goose egg, and show it off at the local saloon, were Goldie drugs him and steals all of his nuggets. The next day, Scrooge KO all of her goons and ask her nuggets back, but she only got the big one (the rests were already spent by her), so, after making her sign a contract in which she own him money, she kidnaps her and take her in his solitary and isolated mine, so that she can feel understand what she is really taking from her victims: not only gold, but even hours and days of sweat and hard work. This goes on for, I think, six months. In the meantime, Soapy got free and meet with 3 Far West legends (Wyatt Earp, Roy Bean and Bat Masterson), they want to open a saloon and hire Goldie as the main attraction, so Soapy finds a way to get revenge on McDuck, lying about the fact she kindapped her and he's torturing her in his mine. Goldie, in the meantime, actually endured the six months in order to steal back the big nugget and a piece of paper that everynight Scrooge stares with happiness, so, taking advantage of Scrooge defending his property by the legends, steals the nugget and the paper, but inside finds only a piece of her hairs. So, she explains the situation to the legends, and take care of the injured Scrooge. When he wakes up and find Goldie actually caring for her, is suspicious at first and a violent discussion takes place. Outside, the legends hear their arguing and then silence. Wyatt and Bat are worried, but Roy explains that "what is happening in that shack is NOT, thankfully, a punishable crime in Texas" (he is fixated with hanging people for breaking these Texas' laws). So, it's implied that in THAT scene... they make out. Although, it's never been confirmed, the only piece of clue we have is at the begining of the comic, in which Huey, Dewey and Louie ask Scrooge what happend those six month, and Donald, visibly worried, take them away saying "you're to young to... ehm... stop peskering your uncle with silly question". The Comics in questions are: part of the Don Rosa's Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck and its substories (more specifically "King of the Klondike", "The Prisoner of White Agony Creek " and, why not "Hearts of the Yukon", but I suggest you to read all of the series PLUS Carl Barks' "Back to the Klondike ") Hope I've been specific enough.
