Fun fact. During the story mode if you quit a stage and reenter it you'll get a recap of the recent events. But if you do this during City Escape Sonic will explain how he got arrested. Basically Sonic was stupid enough he wasn't aware he was being arrested until too late

Fun fact: Sonic shoes for this game was designed under the collaboration of SOAP shoes, a company that created the skate and grind shoe. Sadly the company shut down, but that only branched offspring companies for creating shoes like these!
SA2 is a great game, but that first scene with Tails is some of the worst exposition dialogue I ever heard. Like, it's not even subtle that it's exposition. He has no reason to say these things out loud like that, it feels very weird. It's clearly aimed at the player. So much for immersion. I won't spoil you, but at some point in Dark Beginnings, there's some exposition dialogue that isn't too subtle. But compared to this mess of a dialogue in SA2, that one dialogue in Dark Beginnings is the peak of subtlety.
@@LimitlessLiger4404 When you try to raid a super secret island in order to help someone escape, I don't think that making the whole world aware that you're doing this is the best idea, and Tails must be smart enough to know that. At least they could have made it like he's recording himself for an audio memo, kinda like Eggman's Egg Memos in Frontiers, but for Tails. Heck, maybe that's what he's doing actually, but it's not made clear at all.
Fam he was telling us unnecessary things if he failed at saving Sonic and ended up getting arrested he would've got life in jail because he snitched on himself😭
