when you used the line tool for the wavy line how did you get rid of the black fill it creates?
When you select the line and the heart shape you use the pathfinder tool, click the divide button, this will create 2 shapes and should get rid of the black line. If you’re still unsure please message me on Instagram and I will try help out! :)

Hi any ideas why when i do object blend make that it ends up being zigzaged and not centered?
Have to make sure it’s grouped before you blend.

Draw a straight line then go up to effect then distort and transform then zig zag and then move the settings around. Hope this makes sense! Msg me on instagram if you’re still having issues!

Hey mam how do you select each corners???
Use the direct select tool and then swipe over corners with your mouse. Click A on your keyboard to activate direct select. Hope this helps!

You’ll need either a desktop computer or laptop.

You have to make sure your heart is a complete path. Or you can try make it a compound path if you’re struggling. So go up to object then compound path and make. Or object then path and join. Try one of those. If you’re still struggling please message me on instagram I’ll try help! :)

Oh, nevermind I've figured it out! You've got to click Object > Expand first if you're unable to click those tools. (In case anyone needs it xD)

I’m not seeing how you curve the line or pathfinder on my end
I drew the curved line using the pen tool then selected the shape and the line I drew and clicked divide in the pathfinder tool. You can find the pathfinder tool by going to the top of your screen and click “window -> pathfinder” if you still have questions please message me on Instagram I will try to help :)

use the pen tool to and create a curved line
Pen tool. Don't just click to add points- make sure you're dragging that line after you click that middle point. Also, regarding color, make sure it's no color/black stroke, otherwise you get a weird filled shape instead of a line.

Using the pen tool! Maybe I’ll do a beginner friendly pen tool video tutorial. When I started designing the pen tool was a foreign language to me haha.
You can also create a straight line with the pen tool and go up to effect, then click warp and wave. There’s a few different ways to create a wavy line. Hope this helps!
Pathfinder just does not work
What are you struggling with! Sorry for the delayed response.
Instructions are not clear, youre pressing things that you're not informing people about eg the pen tool, you do something to remove the infill. The other comments seem like bot comments to boot the spread
LOL no bots but thanks for the feedback. Everyone starts somewhere with making videos, when I was creating this I was also learning how to create an informational video. Maybe I missed a few steps. This video is meant to teach people and if there’s something I’ve missed I apologize, I’m human.
In regards to the pen tool and the infill, I used the colour tool to get rid of the infill. To find the colour tool you can go up to Window at the top of Illustrator and then look for the word “color” click that and then colour tool will open. Hope this helps!
