"Fear cuts deeper than swords." Heromarine is not a bad player, just a methodical german. He broke protoss opponents who played faaar better than SoS this time. I think in the first game he just couldn't belive SoS has NOTHING up is sleeve. He didn't see a disruptor, an Immortal, a high templar, a dark templar, an oracle, a phoeninx, Nothing. If you don't have a question, you can't answer. And it can be quite unnerving to know nothing when the stakes are this high. I don't belive this was exactly SoS's plan, but it ended up working for him, for in the second game it just got worse for Heromarine, absoultely crushed. A more agressive terran player would have crushed his opponent easily. Heromarine feared SoS too much, and that was his downfall.
He is an everage player, but Protos is too OP. He also keeps widow mines unburrowed most of time. He doesn't use Raven and Protos observer watches every his step. Zealots are too strong
Tbh you can give that game 1 pull the boy push to any master Terran and sOs would have died almost 100 percent. Those SCVs at the back.... just hurt my eyes.
What an embarrassing performance by HeroMarine. I don't think I have ever seen 30 supply of gateway units and a lone immortal chase down nearly 40 supply of bio and 2 tanks. You would think a top level terran in a situation where you have to retreat and lose units (10:30), splitting a medivac or two to threaten a drop while you retreat to force sOs to make a decision to keep chasing into defender's advantage or peel away to deal with incoming drops. Everything about HeroMarine's game was pretty poor.
He actually only brought 6 or 7. The rest died to the zealot counter attack. Even the ones he brought did no participate in the fight. A few too many mistakes gave SoS the win.
@@velveder2 He actually brought 22 SCVs, you can see when the observer selects them just before fight. And then he left most of them in the back instead of using them in the fight. The Zealot counter attack did almost nothing because he had already pulled most of the third base SCVs.
I'm surprised that some people genuinely believe SoS was playing seriously and not just engaging in typical non Korean BM shenanigans. How many Blizzcon matches have we had where a Korean player toys around with a non Korean?
"As much as I like this army composition (zealots and stalkers) there is a point where it's not going to cut it, we are entering this phase of the game" well that was the caster's curse right here!
Sos crushed Heromarine, especially in game 2, game 1 was less crushing, yet a different tactic with mass gateway and upgrades which I find fun to watch and way more interesting then any disruptor/colossi play. Just a few HT would be nice though.
That did not look even look like Grand Mater play. If these two keep playing like this, it doesn't matter who wins this one because they will fall to anyone else in the tournament.
A lot of people are criticizing Heromarine for blundering with the workers, for being passive... Credit where credit is due, though, sOs went straight for 3/3, he built up those stalkers, he fought even when it wasn't perfect for him just to force out some trades. He knew which cards he was gonna play and slammed them down like a poker ace. And every time Heromarine flinched at that slam, took a step back, sOs came a little closer to his win.
All the games I've watched, kevin or whatever his name is has literally been wrong about who is in trouble and who is not every time. Replace him with pig!
Heromarine isn't bad, but he's no world-class contender either. You can see the uncertainty in his play, letting SoS walk all over him when he should be out on the map harassing from 3 different angles. I imagine Maru in Heromarine's position in game 1, and it's just so obviously over. Maru would have wrecked SoS there.
So this confirms that Terran is stupidly underpowered, Hero played perfectly and even had the upper hand on supply yet he looses a fight in wich he had the advantage, if Protoss doesn't slip at any point then Terran is just dead, well, Protoss DID eff it up a couple of times and still won, at the end this game is all but competitive. Just a bunch of people pretending it's competitive with broken balance, just like Smash Bros
heromarine forgot how to counterattack. How many times did sOs have zero army while being up 2 bases against a terran. Not once did said terran even dream about punishing the guy who didnt tech, didnt build army and greeded for econ. Like wtf, a capable tournament winning terran would have scouted the econ, and known there was no tech and having just defended the fake pressure would have walked across and killed the toss.

No. He sucks. The End.
well said. completely agree
This is the kind of match I hope people interested in SC2 don't see.
That game 1 is the worst TvP I've ever witnessed
well, in some sense, it was also the best ;-)
Tbh you can give that game 1 pull the boy push to any master Terran and sOs would have died almost 100 percent. Those SCVs at the back.... just hurt my eyes.
Commentary sounds like the 2016 election. Favoring #HeroMarine all game and #sOs swoops in a claims VICTORY!
Haven't watched SC2 in awhile but Rottie and InControl are really a great caster duo, definitely my second favorite after Tastosis.
Awful play by Heromarine.
Indeed. He doesn't deserve to be ro16 at Blizzcon, what a joke.
He is an everage player, when Terran player meets same level Protos, OP Protos wins.
Why of course, he sucks
Even sos was awful.
Terran won the game at 13:00 and lost it 25 seconds later when he decides not to attack nor expand.
At 5:15 11 marines 2 widow and a landed viking plus incoming siege tank against 4 stalkers then he pulled back. He shouldhave pushed
Yo, seriously. Heromarine was way too passive. What a disappointment.
Game 1 was "who throw better" contest, lol

18:04 “Mistakes were made...”
😂😂😂
14:07 why did he pull 25 workers to the front line?
Same bro... same.
He actually only brought 6 or 7. The rest died to the zealot counter attack. Even the ones he brought did no participate in the fight. A few too many mistakes gave SoS the win.
to spectate and provide moral support

i feel sOs wasnt trying at all... and to prove he can win with only gateway units plus basic robo units
I think maybe he didn't want to give away any strats for later in the tournament
10:46 landed viking in medevac. Bet you will never see that again
Mark Devereaux it’s awesome if you drop them in a mineral line
I'm surprised that some people genuinely believe SoS was playing seriously and not just engaging in typical non Korean BM shenanigans. How many Blizzcon matches have we had where a Korean player toys around with a non Korean?

SOS looks like having a fever there. He's been checking his body temp after game 1.
17:48 the perfect time for a breath-check
I think sos was handicapping himself.
If this SOS turns up against Maru in the RO8, it will be a 3-0 in under 20 mins.
yea maru got 3 - 0 right
Hahahaha Maru lost 0 - 3 against SOS in a really quick series
hauahuahuahahu
So all protoss need is a miollion zelot and just A move all your units and you win. why does protoss even need crazy amount of splash
Broooonze leeeague heroooooooooes!!
If he held in the first battle, he would have won.
The first map looked as if Sos began the game while being drunk, but eventually sobered up :)
Love hearing the casters just plumb give up on sOs... Like “sure. Guess there’s just NO rules anymore”
How did so win game 1? What a god
Sos crushed Heromarine, especially in game 2, game 1 was less crushing, yet a different tactic with mass gateway and upgrades which I find fun to watch and way more interesting then any disruptor/colossi play.

The first game was the most awful and painful one I´ve ever seen.
That did not look even look like Grand Mater play. If these two keep playing like this, it doesn't matter who wins this one because they will fall to anyone else in the tournament.
SOS didn't even bother teking up 😥
Has and Heromarine both really brought this tournament down. They played like no-name nobodies. What wastes of slots.
icarus I think that it was nerves as heromarine is usually quite decisive. He also forgot his upgrades.
The only way Has would've made the tournament better is if there was a Has vs. sOs game, but sadly, that is not to be.
Probably nerves. This is their first time playing in the world finals so...
nah, has is fun to watch and has a distinctive style. HM is just bad...
+Duan William i hoped hed still be in a rise But feels like the climax has passed
SoS won game 1 off pure intimidation
Game 1 should have been heromarine's but wtf he's ignoring the chances of winning and not push on
A lot of people are criticizing Heromarine for blundering with the workers, for being passive...

hero marine would win 1 game out of a 100 game vs SoS
All the games I've watched, kevin or whatever his name is has literally been wrong about who is in trouble and who is not every time. Replace him with pig!
When two pros play noob AF in the same game. Lolol
Match one was just horrible by HM...
heromarine so bad
Yea sooo bad. So bad that he is in the wcs...
@@cubekatten2 if korea wasnt restricted he wouldnt
Hero marine threw so hard I cant stand it.
Heromarine shouldn't play in these. So unentertaining and way outclassed
WTF is sos doing?
sOs was just playing around in game one. The casters knew it, they just had to act like it was a real match.
SOS trolling again xD

Lol wtf is this??
SOS teaches noobs some sc2. :D
Of course it a marine ...a Hero marine
If only Reynor had gotten this slot. He would have destroyed sOs
What a waste of scv's 🤔
Throw match for money?
As in, both of them got paid the same amount, by the same people? That's a good explanation of game 1...
JESUS CHRIST IS THE .....ON.LY WAY THE ONLY TRUE, R.E.P.ENT OF SIN AND CHANGE YOUR WAY OF LIVING

not rly, heromarine just messed up completely
Hero punted. He had it but he threw it away.
Hero got caught several times and left his bases undefended against Zealot counters. In what world is that flawless?
heromarine forgot how to counterattack. How many times did sOs have zero army while being up 2 bases against a terran. Another whiny terran? Magnificent!
