Maan 20 years ago when i was a child i read old used books like “gangland” to find out more about these few stories you could find. These people where like ghosts from a different world. Now Sammy sitting in my living room and telling these stories is UNreal.
That is so true bro, 20 years ago the mafia was still a mirage. I remember countless times going to the library and also indulging in these books. Back then stuff like this was unheard of, just comes to show the power that the feds now have with the stronger sentences they are now handing out, alot of more Sammy, the bulls to come in the future lol.
This guy is one of the best storytellers I've ever heard. I have nothing but praise for how this podcast is done but what could possibly even make it better would be to show a few images of these lower key mob guys many people might not know about while Sammy is talking like the Dicicco family, Testa etc.. Not too much because I like watching Sammy speak but I do believe it could be done in a way to make this even better. Like fade out with a picture of Johnny Keys while Sammy is talking about his hit. I think it could be done really tastefully and would go well with the low ambient music and atmosphere. Sammy has a way of creating great visuals with his words and this would add to that if done properly.
An HBO series would be much-much-much preferred as there's just too much.. But unless they make it extremely dramatic and Michael Bay esque, with shit loads of crazy shootouts-crazy visuals-explosions and car chases and graphic sex scenes, then it just isn't gonna be made because Hollywood is imaginatively bankrupt and a shell of its former self 👀

Do you actually believe everything this guy says ? He must remember bits but he obviously fills in the blanks and makes things up as he goes along to fill in the gaps. If you listen to his book from the 90s. It’s 100 times better than this and he must have listened to himself lately to jog his memory. Most of this stuff is all in that book.

This is Sammy the Bull, I think the way He tells it actually puts you in the room with him being made and during the meeting . I can see why He was so successful at what He did in his life. He at least to me is truthful and if they could make a movie about his life without Hollywooding it up I would watch it. I was fixated to the story , He doesn't sugarcoat it just tells it. One of my biggest issues in terms of rules is the part of never being able to walk away or retire (to be specific). Especially if you've been loyal and earned a lot for the family. I mean, even a pricey exit fee makes more sense than a disgruntled employee with with a vendetta because of the inability to walk away without the fear of repercussions. That only breeds more disloyalty and/or the incentive for government cooperation.

Read underboss three times now, hearing Sammy tell the story out of his mouth is even better than the book. What’s even better is Sammy adds other details that aren’t in the book, like how taddo tells him about the rule on being introduced. Sammy is a gangsters gangster. It doesn’t get anymore gangster then living and doing what he did, being famous. Then coming out with a TH-cam channel/ website telling the story. One of my biggest issues in terms of rules is the part of never being able to walk away or retire (to be specific). Especially if you've been loyal and earned a lot for the family. I mean, even a pricey exit fee makes more sense than a disgruntled employee with with a vendetta because of the inability to walk away without the fear of repercussions. That only breeds more disloyalty and/or the incentive for government cooperation.

Read underboss three times now, hearing Sammy tell the story out of his mouth is even better than the book. What’s even better is Sammy adds other details that aren’t in the book, like how taddo tells him about the rule on being introduced. Sammy is a gangsters gangster. It doesn’t get anymore gangster then living and doing what he did, being famous. Then coming out with a TH-cam channel/ website telling the story. All while not hiding or even attempting to hide where he is. Sammy is the definition of true gangster.
This is just beautiful, and I mean this in a way which he tells a story, his storytelling abilities are just insane.

Absolutely unbelievable story telling ability, if I was a boss at Netflix I would be offering millions to get this on Netflix weekly episodes every Sunday evening in this format change nothing half an hour episodes every Sunday.
I could listen to him for hours. No matter how long his podcasts are, they are never long enough.
