Hi Robert, thank you for the video, It's very helpful. I'm having an issue setting up a "Door Types" schedule. In my case, the 2d field doesn't show on the same scale as the front view field. Can you help me fix that? Mahalo Nui Loa!
Hi Robert, I have found many of your videos very helpful. Can I ask what setting you used to get your wall schedule to calculate a total? My wall schedule shows all the (exact same composite) walls seperately even when I tick the ‘merge uniform items’ box. It looks similar to your schedule but without the total at the bottom of each wall type.
It depends on whether you are trying to find the 1. horizontal area (from above) or 2. surface area (slope dependant) 1. use a fill with area tool or use a slab 2. use the roof tool Either way, you need to assign a unique building material or surface material that you can identify from everything else in the project. this allows you to quantify it using the scheduling tool. watch my scheduling videos for information on how to create a basic quantity schedule. I hope this helps :)
Hello. I have a question, I was making a schedule about bathrooms objects, but at the moment I wanted to calculate the taps embedded in the basin object I couldn't find it, how can I get to that?
I'm not sure if this is possible (the way you want to do it). You could change in ID or another editable name in the schedule for the basin object itself, defining it separately for ones with or without taps.
dear robert mann , i would like to ask you how is possible to change the way of measures is displayed from inches ( in schedules - for examples in windows ) to centimeters. thank you in advance
Robert Mann dear ...how can I make sure that the other existing saved views....etc.etc...because i have already made the changes in working units but it still displayed in inches ( schedules, lists, doors/windows measurements ) I really thank you in advance
Hi... First of all I would like to thank a lot for sharing your knowledge with us. So I want to know how to change de windows and Door details. So sorry for my bad English, I hop You understood
You change the window or door info in the info box (settings of tool). You can change the details shown in the schedule in the schedule settings. You can add or edit the criteria from the schedule, plan, elevation, section, or 3D. If you want to change many windows all at once I would use the 3D method so you only need to make the changes once (by selecting them all), rather than for each one separately.
Hi Bhaskar, definitely. If I'm specifying a generic solution it is not necessary, but if I'm using a branded product then absolutely. You will either need to use a BIM window from the manufacturer that has this preset, use a IFC window that has the option available, or manually adjust the standard windows parameters (as I have alluded to here) in order to get it to list the code.
Thanks for the video. Is there a way to possibly add the door/window tags in the schedule as well?
Can i ask you a faivour? please make playlist sorted by category.if its possible it would be great.thanks for great videos.
Hi Robert, How did you get the tags list to have line breaks in the schedule. I've always had semicolons where the breaks should be. Thanks

Why do some of my doors show in gray instead like they look like in 3D, please? :(

Hi Robert, how do I get the style menu to appear on the left so i can change the text size and font? Thanks.
How would you use a schedule to find the area of a roof?

Hi, Go to: Options - Project Preferences - Working Units. Then make sure that any existing saved views use these settings also.
