I really need to create something like this - categories to better plan my workday life. Above all, I loved the creativity to use M&M's alongside the examples. Thank you for sharing, Darrell!
Great video, like that continuity of colour theme. I use key words in my calendar entries to activate rules and auto colour code too. It's great to see the balance of weekly work at a glance.
Been using the system for over a week now and I love it! If Microsoft restores the "Focus" time and conditional formatting calendar options missing from New Outlook, this will become a close to perfect way for me to manage my calendar. Thanks again for sharing this idea 😊
Been using categories for years. Certainly works for me, but Microsoft seems to have removed this feature when they roll out something new - eg "new" Outlook.
So cool that you even brought your office plant with you.
My office greenery is part of the scenery 😆

I have been wanting to create a colourful outdoors episode for a while. Glad you liked it and it helped bring the points home.
Cool stuff, trying to use that for the 2025 as well. Do you know if there is a timetable when Microsoft will add focus time in the new Outlook?
Great idea and I plan to try it myself. One downside is, the "add focus time" option is missing from new Outlook :(
I too hope that Microsoft bring Add focus time to new Outlook. I prefer it over the Viva Insights Focus Plan.

Colour definitely helps me recognise where I am spending my time.
I like the tip at 5:30 to create my focus moments from outlook as well. Thanks
