The Buon Natale is an Italian word meaning "Merry Christmas". The Buon Natale is a cultural festival organized by the Thrissur Archdiocese and Thrissur Citizenry during Christmas time. The Buon Natale was first conducted by the Thrissur Archdiocese in 2013. This was flagged of by former president of India, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Approximately 5000 Santa Clauses and 3000 angels were part of this cultural event.
In 2014, Bon Natale won the Guinness Book of World Records with 18112 popes, as the largest procession of Santa Clauses. Earlier this record was held by Northern Ireland's with a record of 13000 Santa Clauses.
In 2023, there were more than 10000 Santas and 13 different plots.
