      You know... I hate coal rollers as a corvette guy.
      Mostly because of environment reasons and the constantly poorly aimed headlights after a lift...
      But screw people that don’t let anyone merge to the right. Just generates traffic. Sooooo...
      Roll that coal? 😂

    Driving tractor trailer for years, I found backing off and letting other vehicles ahead of you causes less stress for everybody involved. If you take your time, you will get there eventually. But if you're a dick, there's a chance you won't get there at all.

    My favorite is when someone rides your tail then passes you. Only for you to catch up to them down the road and you are reading their bumper sticker. In other words they pass me cuz they obviously think I'm not going fast enough just for both of us to wind up at the same place with them being no further along than if they had not even passed me.

    Not sure if this was the case but I will not let people merge when they run up the far lane to get in front of everyone to merge as the lane ends.

    • @alv5291
      @alv5291 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      agree

    • @ralfie8801
      @ralfie8801 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly, especially when they were right behind you before they changed lanes to do it! I was involved in an epic denial of this sort one time when someone behind me jumped to the right lane to race to the front and try to force their way back in. No one would let him back in, including me. By the time he did get back in, he ended up about 8 cars behind where he started from.

    • @alv5291
      @alv5291 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ralfie8801 Again, if everyone follows the rules of the road ie., if it is safe to change lanes, do so. A driver in the other lane has no obligation to yield. The driver trying to change lanes has the obligation to do it in a safe manner. If a driver that is rightfully in that lane wants to be courteous, great but, he is under no obligation to do so. This is how accidents happen.
      Just because you have your blinker on to make a lane change does not give you the right to just change lanes and expect the other drivers to yield. Now, if you want to talk about drivers speeding up to keep you from making that lane change, then that is another matter.

      This is a terrible response to what amounts to a childish and unnecessary exchange between two drivers. You are advocating and encouraging VANDALISM to other people’s property, something that could potentially cause unforeseen consequences out on the road. Urging others to commit a crime seems awfully close to recent national events, something about inciting bad behavior. Your post speaks volumes about you way more than suggesting an equitable solution to a common occurrence.

    Road rage, in 95% - 99% of the cases doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
    For example, it only takes one minute for a phone to ring 10 times. If you cannot wait a single minute for someone to answer, you shouldn't be taking the time to call in the first place.
    The amount of time lost while driving SAFELY (10 SECONDS between vehicles at whatever speeds), only amounts to 5 minutes per day (calculated by mathematicians more practiced than me). Is it really worth risking life and limb to save 5 minutes during a 24 hour day?
    What about "bumper to bumper" traffic? Well, that is real. And it can be challenging. What to do? Well, from personal experience, I can say plan on at least two extra hours if bumper to bumper traffic is involved. Or, as I usually chose, plan on driving an extra 20 or 30 miles. While the mileage added up a lot, the driving time was cut from hours to minutes.
    Simple choices that effectively reduce driving stresses. Road rage, by those parameters, becomes a chargeable offense.
    Of course, emergency vehicles have the right of way, regardless. Again, from personal experience, if anyone has a right to "road rage" it's emergency vehicle drivers. The number of close calls caused by "other driver stupidity" would probably make an epic length film.
    THINK when behind the wheel. A few moments of patience makes a whole world of difference.

      @Flasher Trasher I rode for 22 years in the LA area. Try Sacramento, it's the worse place in Cali. At least they put lane spitting in the DMV book since people have thought it's illegal all of these years. Benn splitting since 76 and that's not considered merging. FYI

      @charlie6629 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Flasher Trasher I had a guy in LA cut me off in a traffic jam. I hit the brakes and dropped my kickstand then heard a toot with a CHP saying I got this asshole you can just keep going. That was in 78 or so. He was right behind me cutting lanes.
