This week on Sunday Longplay, Zelda Month in honor of the release of Tears Of The Kingdom continues with a ROM hack of the game that started it all! Welcome to The Legend of Zelda: Ancient Dungeon!
This hack completely transforms the game into a giant 255-room randomly-generated roguelike dungeon, so it's different every time you play it. You can also choose to play with either 1st or 2nd Quest mechanics (2nd quest makes the Stalfos shoot sword beams, makes the snakes tougher, and adds red bubbles to permanently take away your sword accompanied by a single blue bubble to give it back).
Features include:
Roguelike Gameplay: Every playthrough is different and it is all included directly in the ROM file. No external randomization programs needed, just load and play!
Dynamic Enemy Loading: Normally the overworld and each dungeon has a specific set of enemies available. In Ancient Dungeon, new enemies are loaded dynamically during every room transition. This means there are no restrictions in the combinations of enemies you may encounter in the dungeon.
Additional Item Abilities: Some items have new functionality specific to Ancient Dungeon. Some changes are basic, like the Stepladder, which makes new water rooms available. Others have brand new functionality, like the Recorder, which now both defeats Pols Voice and forces Peahats to land.
In-game Timer: A built-in timer keeps track of your runtime and is shown at the end of every run, win or lose.
Seeds: You can choose a custom seed value and play the game in seeded mode, which gives you the same randomized layout every time. This is perfect for setting up races!
Custom Palettes: New palettes have been added that change periodically through the dungeon, providing a touch of variety.

First time I've seen you run the Ancient Dungeon and you jumped directly into the 2nd quest difficulty...🤣🤣...nice run. What a troll by the old man, he sells you a heart container but he leaves you with just 20 rupees or so, then a potion but it costs you everything down to the last rupee. C'mon, you can't sell the silver arrows or something, old man?! 🙄🙄🤣🤣 BTW, there is a trick with the recorder in this hack...

I was searching on TH-cam and seen you like to play old classic Zelda games. I was wondering if you would be up for the challenge and willing to try my homebrew game hack of "The Legend of Zelda" for the NES? The reason I asked this is, I’ve been working on several ROM hacks of the game changing the outer world, shops, item location, Dungeons and more. I'm looking for someone who streams on TH-cam who would play a blind run through. I'd like to get the satisfaction of watching someone play through my quests.
They have some challenge and will make you think at times. Can be a little tricky as well. I want to let you know I used a Zelda Randomize ROM when making these quest. I wanted to use a couple of the randomize options. You are able to save your quest by using controller 1 and pressing up +A at the same time. Select button swaps through items while playing the game and I used fast text. Let me know if you would be interested in doing a blind run through?

There might be a way of how Zelda could be saved in a room somewhere by a surprise part before towards the boss probably
