Never had streaks in my hair, but i remember these time consuming streaking caps. I bet a lot of amateurs buy these to streak there hair at home. How long did it take you Matthew to pull those hairs through the cap, 🤣 i did have to laugh. You had patience, which you definitely needed. I was laughing. Good result. ❤
That looks amazing, I know the standard is foil but if I and it could very well happen decide to lighten my hair, I am going to find a stylist who is proficient with the cap. It just the color looks so clean, there is no bleed over and is consistent. I also lover her re shape on hair good job Matt, as always. Thanks for this these styles back in the day were so wonderful, I am so happy I was around for them. Oh and by the way, my wedge back in the day was not based on Dorothy Hamill, it was actually on Marie Osmond, the beauty shop I went to back in the day according to my mom had the diagram of the Marie Wedge cut. Dang we had great styles back than miss those days.
Wow, what a stunning change! The cap is fantastic!!! She'd look unbelieveable with short blonde curly hair - especially towards the tighter end of the curl spectrum! Do you think she might be up for doing a perm next?
Diane is a very attractive and fun girl and with the cut and now colour looks stunning. I remember my first cap highlights and how weird it felt especially the pain and then relief as it was pulled off. Always produced good results though
I have a question for you: what do you call that cut? She also has wave in her hair so it falls different. I have wave in my hair too. Thinking of going shorter. I really love extremely highlighted and chunky hair. You are a fun hairdresser. I wish getting my hair done was that fun-maybe I would go more often. You make people feel comfortable too. . But you are kind of an old School hairdresser, the new ones barely talk to you about your hair (or hair in general)
The haircut is based on a Bilevel Cut, but softened and modernised version of one. Thanks I’ve been hanging around the hair salon since I was 5 years old, my grandmother had one, since I am 50 now that means I’ve been hanging around a salon since 1976, and have seen a lot since then. Everything I learned mostly came from watching others so that is a long time now. The younger hairdressers don’t get that kind of exposure anymore
You’re so right. The new ones don’t really talk much and it’s awkward. I guess it’s generational. I always try to make small talk anyway, but sometimes it goes nowhere 😅
Yes we will, but the problem is that new one that I just bought one of my staff was trying it out and tore it, so I had to order another one, Aissa appointment is on Monday so fingers crossed the new one gets here in time
Just an idea ... give a female hairdresser surprise haircut ! Its always good to see hairstylist getting short haircut :D Especially dont with clippers
Sometimes you see my staff in some of these videos and they already have done everything with their hair, including shaving and every colour possible, so that concept wouldn't work with us they've already done it all
Yes but not as often, the majority of our clientele is female therefore that is the reason why you see more of that, we do have males too and we should be showing that more I will admit
@@retrohaircuts Completely understandable. I was a little kid in the 1980s and I have often thought about growing my hair out to a short feathered shag, which is why I was curious if you’ve ever done anything like that.
OMG what a stunning change - LOVE her style
So good! She is so pretty!
That cut & color looks perfection 👌

Very cute girl and cute hairstyle to match. Unlike some, she is very comfortable in front of the camera. Beautiful!
Those products you use, Colour Motion, and the Wella Mousse, there brilliant products.
Yes we love them 💕

Love it. Also, she looks a little like Emma Roberts.
Streaking caps rule! So glad you're a convert! Is the cap going to make another appearance on Aissa's head after her Jill Trenary cut?
