Real!!!! Not trying to be a hater since bp first got me into kpop, but imo more than any other group, gidle deserves the hype. Does bp, twice, ive, itzy, new jeans, lesserafim, Aespa, etc make all their music? Produce it? Write it? Compose it? Ofc they all deserves their success, not denying that but sometimes people just like ear candy. I have huge respect for those who write and sing their own songs and 4/5 in gidle can write, compose and 3/5 can produce. There is truly no group like them and it hurts me to see them so under appreciated when people talk about currently strong ggs because no one’s doing it like them. Their songs ALL have a great message and meaning and they have musicality like no other group. Well lesserafim seems like the only other gg who could potentially be at idles level a few more years into their career. Young posse and gidle are very very unique and under appreciated. I still get goosebumps from this video. They were the first girl group that I was introduced to and this was the first video that I have ever watched. In my opinion Gidle is the only girl group that represents femininity and feminine power correctly. They do not show that you can only be strong when you are badass and walk over the other women, but they portrayed all sides of feminine power: they can be soft when it is needed, hot and sexy, and devious too. You can be strong and powerful as a woman in so many ways and they represent this so well.
