This was already a perfect 10/10 pitch just based on the plot, and then you mentioned that the three leads are all irl friends with history? And you're giving Njobu backstory?? And you're bringing in Monica freaking Lynne???? Easily 100/10!! Absolutely amazing!!!
@andrewjpalla do you think KKK members would watch a Blade movie anyways? Besides I feel like Marvel can live without the KKK demographic, “The KKK is bad actually!” isn’t exactly biting political commentary it’s stating the obvious. Right up marvel’s alley.
@@willmackinnon9397with this movie pitch being set in the 80s, Moon Knight would still be Ethan Hawke’s character. Khonshu’s previous avatar in the MCU before Marc Spector.
I can't wait for the flood of people angry that Nando is making Blade "political" and that the KKK are portrayed as villains. Great movie idea, nice adaption of the Black Panther comic btw. Edit: i found two comments crying how it's woke 🤣
Nando I always love these pitches but this is pure S tier. Blade in Alabama, the Eric name, fixing the continuity errors of previous Marvel products: You have outdone yourself.
Again... Sterling K Brown and Susan Kelechi Watson as a subtle fan cast is GENIUS, they have amazing chemistry on This is Us and already were such an interesting couple in that show
@@harrower7746 A few more examples: - In an episode of Batman: The Animated Series, we find out Bruce Wayne’s role model as a vigilante was a show he watched as a kid about a hero called “The Gray Ghost.” Simon Trent (the in-universe actor who played the character) was voiced by Adam West from the 60s Batman show. - In The Boys comics, Hugh Campbell’s appearance & character was based on Simon Pegg, then the actor played Hughie’s dad in the TV series. - Donald Glover was the inspiration for Miles Morales when he tweeted a desire to play Spider-Man & wore Spidey pajamas in the Community S2 premiere. In Spider-Man: Homecoming, he played Miles’ uncle-Aaron Davis, then in Across the Spider-Verse, he cameos wearing The Prowler suit (Aaron’s criminal alter ego).
This is such a great idea. Nando, I’m manifesting as hard as I can that someone from Marvel sees your videos and see how talented you are and brings you in. You deserve it.
I would prefer if the Sterling K Brown was used more of a cameo for the first fight, and then just let Blade deal with the more supernatural side of the conflict on his own. The connection is fun and definitely appreciated, but the secrecy of vampires and also it just being his first movie, I feel like Blade on his own would work better.
It was up about 2, maybe 3 hrs before the reupload. Was waiting in line in to see Wicked, got out and wanted to finish the video and didn’t see it anywhere in my viewing history or search lol
A real nice post credit scene to this could be Blade's conversation with Dane Whitman that was hinted at the end of Eternals. That movie has so many loose ends that deserve to be tied up(I'm the few people who liked that movie and want it to get its continuation). The convo could also just be a final scene with a time-jump to present day instead, since having two connected post credits would be weird and confusing
Great pitch Nando. Your knowledge and enthusiasm for this universe shows there are awesome stories out there. The way you tie things together is really cool too. Hope the right people see this. You deserve an opportunity, and the recognition. Keep up the AWESOME work!
I genuinely would love to see this movie! It'd be a terrifying look at this period of recent history with a badass vampire slaying adventure on top. Though, I'd love if Werewolf by night was hinted at or if he showed up in the end credits or something like that.
0:11 That’s where you’re wrong Nando. I’m constantly thinking about G’iah being one of the most powerful characters we’ve met in the MCU and they’re going to have to mention her again at some point. If you can pitch G’iah getting reintroduced into the MCU, hats off.
Idea to fix overpowered G'iah problem: the "Flowers For Algernon" scenario where the character invested with power loses them gradually until becomes weaker than before getting powers.
Dude! Sign me up! This ties in perfectly with Black Panther comics from my childhood and the past/current MCU titles you connected (especially the Eternals hanging Chad of a post credits scene) and it has a totally original storyline we've yet to see anything like in the MCU. This is my favorite of your pitches yet.
I fkn LOVE this idea. Can the sequel PLEASE be a late 80s movie set in nyc where we get a cinematic version of the city depicted in those great daredevil/spidey/ xmen comics from that era???
I'd absolutely watch this movie, just like I'd watch pretty much every other thing you've pitched. It's a crime that you haven't gotten hired to actually pitch, write, or script doctor for some movie studio or other.
Vampirism in American Fiction has a long history tied to the Civil War, Civil Rights, and racism generally. It’s an interesting angle to play on that in this pitch, I like it
A few things: Why can Nathan Garrett wield the ebony blade? It’s a very important part of its history that he was never able to wield it and it sat in his attic until Dane found it. There is genuinely nothing Nathan Garrett about Nathan Garret despite his spying days being mentioned. No flying horse, no beam lance, nothing. Why is he using magic like he’s some kind of wizard??? Everything about this pitch is great… except for every part involving Black Knight and the ebony blade, and I say this as a huge Black Knight fan.
It doesn't necessarily have to match comic persona, but if its not even relatively close they could make a character up for the position - or tie in a random character unrelated to Blade that matches the character
I like background stuff tying it to the MCU, but I’m not crazy about the plot. Also, the finale’s setting has a been-there feel. The vampire movies Cirque du Freak and The Lost Boys are amusement park adjacent, so you’re going to invite comparisons. Why not have Dracula’s son decide to try his idea out on someplace smaller as a test run? If successful, they can use it as a staging ground. The perfect place exists: Puerto Rico. It hasn’t been in the MCU, and you can bring in Puerto Rico’s resident superhero, White Tiger. PR has dozens of celebrations, but the ideal one is Carnaval Ponceño, which is a weeklong carnival exactly like Mardi Gras, ending on Ash Wednesday. In the 1980s, Ash Wednesday dropped in February 7 times. Surely one of those years fits the Black Panther timeline. That way Blade can get a February release just like Black Panther. As a bonus, there is an obscure one-shot Marvel hero called El Vejigante, who is named after the cartoonish clown-demons vejigantes who are intended to scare people into behaving and going to church. Perfect disguises for a horde of vampires trying to take over the city of Ponce. Having Hector Ayala (White Tiger) don one of those outfits in order to protect his secret identity can get us both White Tiger action and a little Easter egg for Marvel trivia aficionados.
My Pitch: Simply Release the Movie 😅 Seriously though I heard a rumor apparently Disney didn't want any blood in this movie😮. Helluva pitch to wanna direct a violent bloodless vampire movie😭. Hopefully Deadpool & Wolverine changed their minds
I feel like this could be great as a tv series as well as a movie. Investigative scenes tend to work really well in episodic format because it's not rushed by having to get to the big action scenes and can be drawn out.
Here's an idea. Robert Pattinson (whom I dislike ss an actor ) should play the evil black knight. And be as irredeemable evil as possible. Be as hate able as possible
I love this. I would love to see Blade be revealed to be Wakandan. Don’t know how that would go over with comic fans but it would be a cool connection. Maybe Blades sword/ weapons are vibranium and vibranium can be effective against the undead?
I love this pitch! So new and interesting. It hits every point, interesting ideas, ticks all boxes and wraps it up together in a nice big bow. Love it!
I love this pitch for Blade, especially bringing in N'Jobu to show how he came to be radicalized during his mission in America.
This was already a perfect 10/10 pitch just based on the plot, and then you mentioned that the three leads are all irl friends with history? And you're giving Njobu backstory?? And you're bringing in Monica freaking Lynne???? Easily 100/10!! Absolutely amazing!!!
I said it before but I'll say it again: Blade and a 'Black Panther' vs the vampire KKK is the kind of idea I'd invest everything in.
I really can’t believe that you’ve had a lot of opportunities to say that. I absolutely agree btw
And have Disney risk a kkk boycott? Yeah right...
@andrewjpalla do you think KKK members would watch a Blade movie anyways? Besides I feel like Marvel can live without the KKK demographic, “The KKK is bad actually!” isn’t exactly biting political commentary it’s stating the obvious. Right up marvel’s alley.
Not the subtlest plot but it’s Disney so I could see it happening.
lowkey Sinners might basically be this
"I assure you, there's no vampires in Wakanda."
"You're welcome."
N'JOBU: "Outsider vampires coming to Wakanda? Impossible. It would be like trying to ice skate uphill."
BLADE:
the reason there's a big empty space in the thumbnail is because the production of this video will never be completed, just like the Blade movie 💀

Edit: i found two comments crying how it's woke 🤣
There was a really decent joking thread about it being woke to dislike vampires and the KKK on the original one.
I completely hate the whole woke agenda, but his idea isn’t close to being “woke” lol
Also, make sure it's rated-R - BECAUSE EVERY BLADE FAN KNOWS IT NEEDS TO BE RATED-R!
Ps: Great pitch, Nando!
This blade pitch dovetails into your midnightsons pitch nicely
Marvel: WRITE THAT DOWN! WRITE THAT DOWN!
I still can't get over how cool "Daywalker" is as a nickname
Great pitch, great cops joke at 13:15
"He goes to ask the living vampire what the blood is for" I seriously had to rewind it thought you were trying to put Morbius into this story XD
At this point, they NEED to sign you as a lead writer. This concept is literally flawless. I would def watch this Blade film
The way you write hypotheticals and use clips from movies hits with my type of neurodivergence
Ugh. Why do so many people make their neurodkversity their whole personality.

Cosign all of this. I legit jumped up when he came on. This needs to be brought to life
I’d actually love it if Wesley Snipes could be this Blade’s man in the chair
I like it. Kinda like the 90s Flash coming back as Barry’s dad in the CW show
That's a great call!
We would love it.
I don't think Wesley would be up for it.
