That's why combinations in boxing are essential and should have varieties. Different patterns of combos will definitely confuse your opponent.

The reason he didn't go in was because he knew how strong salt papi's left is, similar to manny's left, if he went in earlier he would've been knocked down earlier too.
And he was only doing the jab because anything else would've moved him dangerously close to papi, he was being careful and as he should be, he lasted until the 2nd round because of it
