Deepika - better take small steps of increasing speed and not more than 5 wpm at one point of time otherwise the accuracy would suffer and confidence would shake - like increase to 85 wpm and when you are having good accuracy increase to 90 wpm and like that.
Prachi - all transcriptions of the stenography skill exam are being done on computers now - hope you are referring to manual typewriters as steno machines for typing - if it is on typewriters, a mention is clearly made in this regard.

Saurav - good question - just only listen to any dictation, you will find pause after full stop - put full stop simultaneously while writing dictation - other than full stop, no error is counted for commas etc.

Dear - there are lot of factors (like academic background, command on the language, commitment, guidance, consistency, etc. etc.) which contribute in the overall improvement of this skill - there is no uniform system for everyone - please look into this accordingly.
There are no rules as such dear and you can create your own short forms - everyone does it and it varies from person to person - the purpose is to get as accurate a transcription as possible.

Commas are not considered as mistakes by SSC and most of the other places - take care of full stops.

Can we practice on different speeds on the same day ? Like one hour at 70 at 80 for an hour and 100
Only seen matters can be practiced within 15-20 wpm of the original speed.

Dear - I suggest you to do seen passages for 2-3 weeks and then start small unseen passages of 5 mins at 40 wpm.
