I felt so extremely bad that I wasn't able to go and pay my last respect to our father of the Hmong people. But watching these slideshows of his funeral, it is very touching and sad. My grandmother of passed one wk after GVP passed and we had her funeral the same wkend. RIP GVP! We will meet again at the opening of the golden gate. Peb yuav ncu koj txug hnub kawg, peb txiv!
my grandfather general vang Pao served and worked hard to keep and help the Hmong population. He fought and taught us all everything we needed to know. He was the greatest leader to be known in history and was the only leader and will always be our one and only leader R.I.P papa 😔

@micaxiong if we were back in the mountains of Laos. We wouldn't have the right to speak our minds, to educate our self, and to know our rights. You said that he isn't a leader and that he's selfish, if this man was selfish why would he bring his fellow Hmong people to the U.S and why would he fight so hard for us to be citizens in this country when other ethnicity didn't have a spokesperson to stand up for their people.

My grandpa his 2 older brother died in the war when their military base got over run by the north vietnamese troop and only my grandpa survive! My dad was born in 1957 but my grandpa didnt let him join the war cause my grandpa was already a soldier! Vang pao said every family must have one person in his army but im happy because where in US today because of GVP. the 35,000 hmong soldier who died and the 50,000 plus wounded royal laos and hmong soldier who fought the communist pathet laos and north vietnamese troop will never be forgotten. My mom said when the dead soldier are flew back to long cheng then vang pao would cried and go by each person patting there head and crying. Also he pay the family money when there love one died in the battle field.
