Makra Top Hike in winter | Complete Documentary

Introduction: The Makra is a scenic peak in the Mansehra District in the Hazara region of the Himalayas in northern Pakistan. It is 3,885 meters (12,746 ft) high and almost 200 kilometers (120 mi) from Islamabad on the Naran Road.[3] From Kiwai, a single 7-kilometer-long road runs uphill to Shogran, a tourist resort with numerous hotels; the track continues to climb up to Siri Lake and ends at Paye. From here it is a trek of nine hours to the top of the Makra. Hiking on the Makra in winter is difficult due to snow and the gradient of the mountainsides.
Journey: Climbing any mountain in winter can be a tricky job even if it is a simple mountain like Marka. in the winters of 2021 we made a plan to climb Makra peak. which was an epic journey. I started my journey from Lahore with my three adventure buddies. we reach Balakot and have a perfect desi breakfast. then started our journey towards Kawai. Rent a jeep from Kawai and start our journey towards Shogran. which is almost 7 km from Kawai.
we started to see the ice patches almost halfway. but our jeep has a spare chain so ice patches were not a problem.
we started our hike From Shogran and reach Siri Meadow, it was an easy hike since the trail was broken on deep snow by local peoples, Spend a night in a Local hut in our camp and the next day started our journey towards payee meadows.

Why don't you guys keep energy bars and high energy biscuits instead of Naan and Salan, that would make your life easier and will keep your energy levels balanced. Naan Salan is already a very unhealthy diet and specially for guys like you who put their bodies to the test that is not the best food

That can really help you at crucial times or make some flapjacks at home which are home made cereal bars very high in energy and they dont go bad for weeks
