- Today I am sharing all the time-lapse videos we took while our home was being torn down and rebuilt! We totally renovated our family bungalow and here is how our builders did it... if only a renovation really did only take 14 minutes!!!

So much respect for everyone involved in the design and build. Just seeing those workmen was amazing. To put up a shelf central and straight is a feat but a whole house 🏠 What skill they all have in their different fields. Have loved seeing your house become the home you wanted.

I don't understand the negativity you're getting. If people don't like what you've done, they don't need to watch it.
I liked seeing all aspects of the work and looked forward to watching the weekly update. Love what you've done with your home. You've got some very talented builders there.

Wow... this is quite impressive. You guys literally "stripped" your house down to the foundation pretty much! Insane to watch. Your house looks massive now!

Beautiful renovation, however, you obviously didn’t consider the neighbours as you have blocked a large amount of daylight from their windows and given them a view of brick walls.
Loved this. Fascinating to see the building differences between the US and the UK; we recently built a custom house from the ground up in the US and things are done so differently here. Your house is gorgeous!

@@KerryWhelpdale Yes we definitely used more wood for the engineering of the house as a whole. I bet your house is better insulated because of all the stone though!
We Canadiens don"t even cover the wood when there is snow so, to me covering the wole house bofore the instalation of the roof is wild

That was brilliant to watch it all as one. Loved seeing the roof come down in top speed, the splash of red in the kitchen and Rorys artwork again. If only that build could happen in 15 minutes in real life. Unsure if the last minute was supposed to be just a black screen or not.
Haha I know I’m so glad you got to see the red splash back and Rory’s scary artwork again!! Oh no I don’t know what happened to the last bit but it shouldn’t have been there! Lol xxx

This was so cool to watch! I found your channel when the roof was being finished with slate. I had no idea how much they had to rebuild on this renovation. It has turned out sooo nice! Also, what size if your house? I have no concept.

Brilliant! We’ll be putting a second floor in our bungalow eventually and I’m wondering how much yours all cost you Kerri. Totally understand if it’s not something you want to share but if you have talked about it I’ll have a scour back through your videos.
Aahh I’m in 2 minds about sharing this as it wasn’t cheap and I am worried what a lot of people will think and how they will react.. I have been getting quite a bit of negativity over the build anyway and worry it might make it worse :( xxx
How awful that people are negative - it's your money and no one is forced to watch your videos if they don't want to! I thoroughly enjoyed the series and you have such a lovely home.
I totally understand - I probably wouldn’t want to share either to be honest. What a shame that people have been negative - they’re clearly jealous which is so sad but it’s their problem not yours. You’ve worked hard for it so enjoy your wonderful family home.
Unfortunately there will always be negative comments when you share your life online and everyone is entitled to their opinion but just do it constructively is all I would suggest. Perhaps if you shared the cost that would stop speculation but that is your choice of course. Xx
Maybe next time you could take a video before and after of everything instead of 30 seconds of Instagram photos and 1 min of black screen.
Beautiful result, but why save any of the old structure?
I wonder how much the cost was including all the fittings and decorations.

Was it worth it , unless the area is so expensive in terms of land value then probably yes otherwise a waste of investment and energy!!
Could we not get a tour of the whole house? Why show items in the home such as the vase and pictures?

What is the point of this kind of renovation? Someone could've just bought a bigger house in the first place if needed the space.
Bet the neighbors are pretty upset, can’t look out the windows without seeing such an obnoxious “ house “ that doesn’t fit in the neighborhood 🙄
I think you will actually find that most houses down our road have done exactly the same to their roof line, so let’s not make accusations when you don’t know the facts 👌👌
@@KerryWhelpdale no need to get an attitude, the build was actually really awesome! I was just saying if I was the neighbor I would be pretty upset. On our street if we wanted to do the same project we would need at least 65% of the people living on our street to say they would be okay with something like that. That’s all.
