I once cut my waist length hair and permed it, was fun but it was not for me, I have grown it out since then once again waist length and love how it is wash and wear, hubby always has trimmed it for me. Saves alot of money and I can wear it coiled into a hat or braided or flowing free. Works for me however you do what you wish of course. The beauty of all our differences.
Rebecca Haughn I’m sure it looks beautiful! We’re definitely blessed to have such handy and brave men in our lives. I have naturally curly hair that gets a bit unruly so cutting it at home had me nervous of the dreaded ‘triangle head’ when drying naturally. I do have a bit of that going on but as it grows out we’ll try again. Overall a fun little experience!
It is also something that can be couple thing too, my hubby works alot so this time is precious to me. Wish my hair would grow faster lol.

What the...?! EMT bandage and clothing cutting scissors? I would have stopped it right there. Kudos to Charlie; 1'kudo' for his barbering skill and 9 'kudos' for having the cojones to mess with his loved and lovely wife's hair.
Craig Mooring we were working with what we had... definitely wasn’t sure what to expect but Charlie likes Shauna’s hair long, and she doesn’t mind it short so we figured that would even us out haha. One of the best dynamics about us = crazy ideas and making them happen.

I don't think I would open myself up to the liability of a bad outcome by cutting my wife's hair even if she asked. Too much unnecessary risk. But then, Charlie may have a bit more of an artistic flair than I have. Anyway, with your combined efforts, the outcome this time was quite good.

Doing it as home saves big $$$. I do suggest that if you continue to have your husband cut your hair for you that you get the proper tools. A good pair of hair shears that hold a sharp edge, hair clips, a a cape and a rat tail sectioning comb. Have him watch a few youtube tutorials and avoid any that tell you to first gather the hair in a ponytail. Section the hair and trim it in small sections, don’t saw through it like it is rope. You will get a more polished finished look.

Charlie, Charlie, Charlie, you skated by once don't push your luck, don't ever do that again. We men should never complain about the cost of having some one else cut our wives hair. Messing up one of a woman's most prized possessions is hazardous to your health and marriage. Brother never do that again. Pay the hair dresser and never ever complain. It could save your life and marriage. :)
CarterCreekFarm I'm not going to lie there was a mischievous 😏 excitement in hacking away at her hair. I can now always remind her of how much she can trust me. Of course I will likely hold onto that particular moment and never risk my life or her sanity again.
A strong man doesn’t feel intimidated or a threat to his manhood cutting his wife’s hair. My husband has been cutting my hair for me since we first started dating. He does a great job every time, better than the salon. We both enjoy the bonding time and it is really important to me that the man wielding the shears loves and respects me. I find it very relaxing when he combs out my hair, I could just take a nap. But he tells me to keep my head straight when he is cutting, so napping is not an option.

I would simply started cutting at the top of the hair band. By the time she figured it out it would have been too late.
The hair cut looked great, but I think she would look A LOT better with a shorter cut. She would look extremely sexy with a short pixie cut!!!!
Maybe some highlights to take down the dark color too.
