- In this video we are going to find out the opinion of the people of Melide and Palas de Rei, where the multinational Altri wants to open a pulp factory.
About Galicia has its own opinion, but is not responsible for what each person thinks. At About Galicia we love our land, because Galicia is what you see in this video: countryside, agriculture, livestock, rivers, sea, fishing, shellfish,... and the people who do all this. If we allow this to be taken from us, a part of ourselves is taken away from us. In the end, we all lose: first those who make a living from this lose, but then the consequences fall on everyone. Therefore, we have to unite to stop it together, because together we are invincible.

Es triste ver cómo los habitantes de Palas de Rei y Melide están preocupados por la construcción de la planta de celulosa Altri. La protección del medio ambiente y la salud de las personas debe ser una prioridad. En México, enfrentamos una situación similar cuando se planeó la instalación de una cervecera en el norte del país. Nuestro presidente AMLO aplicó el método de consultas populares, y la gente tuvo la oportunidad de expresar su opinión. Al final, se revocaron los permisos otorgados por el gobierno anterior porque la comunidad no estaba de acuerdo. Quizás Galicia podría considerar una medida similar para asegurar que se escuchen las voces de sus ciudadanos y se protejan sus intereses.

Hola, todas ésas empresas contaminan el medioambiente, evidentemente van a decir que no, los que las instalan. Aquí en Uruguay hay varias empresas de ése tipo, hace poco tiempo hubo una fuga de soda cáustica y dónde fue a parar? al río, pero los poderosos mandan, lamentablemente. Lo contradictorio es que en España por un lado están aplicando normas medioambientales de emisión de gases de los coches y por otro lado quieren instalar una planta de celulosa?..., no se entiende..... lgualmente me quiero ir a vivir a Galicia, tengo antepasados gallegos. Tienes toda la razón Alejandro: los políticos tienen estas incongruencias, porque en realidad miran sus propios intereses, no les importa el medio ambiente.
