One question though, How do you format the Table so it is APA 6th ed.? I.e. Table being in Times New Roman (size12) without italics, then have the caption beneath the Table number in italics, then in the List of Tables, have the table number listed and right after the table number, have the caption with the page number also?
Thank you so much! I had watched several videos and wasn´t able to understand how to create a list of tables. Your explanation was very clear, easy and to the point and I´ve been finally able to create my list in word!! Thank you so much!
This is such a valuable video. It is almost impossible to find out this information elsewhere and this info is so helpful. Thank you for making this video
This video was such a lifesaver. Word is very complex and has so many useful functions but unfortunately for some, it is quite difficult to figure out on your own. Thank you for the quick and easy how-to video.
PERFECT!! Exactly what I needed. NOW tell me please how to create a FOOTER with SECT - PAGE. With section being the actual section in the document. Not the section break numbers
Hello Karina! Thanks for your video! very helpful. Using APA format 6th edition, the title has to go in the next line. When I try to add the captions, the title in the list of tables disappears. It only appears if I add the title right next to the label as you show on your video. My University does not accept the title right next to the label. It has to go in the next line. How can I add captions appropriately so my tables show as follows and the automatic list of tables populate the label and the title too? Table 1 Chart of Searches and Documentation Keywords. Hospitals Clinics
If you start with it all on one line then press shift + enter in between the table number and the title this should put the title on a new line but it will still be there in the list of tables
My caption option doesn't have any text in the "Caption" text box, and won't let me enter anything. Microsoft help forum suggested modifying the caption style to left rather than centered, and that brought it back. However, now I get an error when I go into the "Numbering" section of the insert caption dialogue. I select my heading, and it says "There's no chapter number to include in the caption or page number. To apply chapter numbers, use the Multilevel List button on the Home tab and select a numbering scheme that's lined to the Heading styles." Any suggestions?
I have spent literally tens of hours searching the internet and TH-cam on how to do this.
Thank you!
